dc.description	Ervina Demovaitė (studies of dental care) done thesis whose topic is “Oral habits of older people who are wearing removable dentures: The comparative analysis of Kaunas city and Pakruojis district”. The leader of thesis lect. Margarita Ţemaitė, Kauno Kolegija, faculty of medicine, department of oral health. Kaunas, 2018. Main purpose of thesis – to compare Oral habits of older people who are wearing removable dentures of Kaunas city and Pakruojis district. Research tasks: 1. Reveal changes of the oral cavity in the older age; 2. Describe the types and maintenance of partial removable dentures; 3. Identify individual oral hygiene who are wearing partial removable dentures 4. To determine the habits of oral hygiene of older people who carry partial removable dentures of Kaunas city; 5. To determine the habits of oral hygiene of older people who carry partial removable dentures of Pakruojis district. In order to compare the oral habits of older people who carry partial removable dentures of Kaunas city and Pakruojis district, a statistical analysis of data and a questionnaire survey were conducted. The questionnaire contains 18 questions. The research has been conducted in 2018 from 17th of February until 15th of April. 141 respondents, of whom 68 are residents of Kaunas and 73 are residents of Pakruojis district participated in the research, all respondents are over 60 years old. Participants of the research were selected by non-probability sampling method. Tables and graphs were made with MS Excel 2010. The results of the research revealed that respondents of Kaunas take care of their teeth and denture more than respondents of Pakruojis area. More than half of the respondents in Kaunas answered that they brush their teeth with a soft toothbrush for about 3-4 minutes while in Pakruojis area only a quarter of respondents have chosen such answer. The use of additional oral care devices and dental disinfection pills is the other aspect that shows that Kaunas respondents' oral hygiene habits are better. In Kaunas almost all of the respondents use the additional oral cavity care and dental disinfection pills, while in Pakruojis area only the half of the respondents.	en
dc.description.abstract	Baigiamajame bakalauro darbe buvo palyginta Kauno ir Pakruojo raj. vyresnio amžiaus žmonių, nešiojančių dalinį išimamajį dantų protezą, burnos higienos įpročiai. Išnagrinėjus mokslinę literatūrą buvo pateiktos išvados. Darbą sudaro: penki skyriai. Pirmame skyriuje aprašoma vyresniame amžiuje vykstantys burnos ertmės pokyčiai. Antrame dalinių išimamųjų dantų protezų rūšys, jų priežiūra. Trečiame individuali burnos higiena nešiojant dalinius išimamuosius dantų protezus. Ketvirtame skyriuje pristatoma empirinio tyrimo metodologija ir metodika. Penktame skyriuje aptariami tyrimo rezultatai, parodoma, kuo skiriasi Kauno ir Pakruojo raj. gyventojų burnos higienos įpročiai, nešiojant dalinius išimamuosius dantų protezus.	en_US
