dc.description	Thesis topic: „Women‘s attitude and aromatherapy specialists‘ opinion on essential oils and their antiviral properties“. Key words: essential oils, antiviral properties. Relevance of the topic: studies of many substances accumulating in plants have shown that it is essential oils that have a wide range of biological effects (Sharma, Kaur, 2020). In recent years, interest in these substances has grown due to their abundance of scientifically based positive properties: antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, sedative, and many others. Researchers have begun to look for natural alternatives to synthetic components of chemical drugs and cosmetics that harm not only human health but also the entire ecosystem (Peters, 2016). Moreover, the Covid - 19 viral infection that hit the whole world in 2019 changed the usual rhythm of life for everyone, which led to the frequency of physical and psychological problems. The research problem: what is the attitude of women‘s and the opinion of aromatherapy specialists‘ about essential oils and their antiviral properties? The object the research: women‘s attitudes and aromatherapy specialists‘ opinions about essential oils and their antiviral properties. The aim of the study: to reveal the attitude of women‘s and the opinion of aromatherapy specialists‘ about essential oils and their antiviral properties. Objectives of the study: 1. To describe essential oils impact to human body and their antiviral effect. 2. To reveal essiantial oils using possibilities in cosmetics procedures and at home. 3. To determine women’s attitude on essential oils and their antiviral properties. 4. To determine aromatherapy specialists’ opinion on essential oils and their antiviral properties. Research methodology and subjects: 1. Analysis of professional and scientific literature, the aim of which is to find out essential oils impact and antiviral properties. 2. Quantitative research the aim of which is to find out women‘s attitude on essential oils and their antiviral properties. Subjects: 134 women. 3. Qualitative research the aim of which is to find out aromatherapy specialists’ opinion on essential oils and their antiviral properties. Informants: 3 aromatherapy specialists. The main results of the empirical research: the obtained results of the quantitative research revealed that the respondents not only know what essential oils are and what biological effects they have but also apply them in practice (for the production of cosmetics, aromatherapy baths). Essential oils with antiviral properties women use for surface disinfection, indoor air purification, inhalations. After analyzing the results of qualitative research, aromatherapy specialists‘ confirmed that the effect of these substances is based on scientific research and present the possibilities of application of substances with antiviral properties in the home environment	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Darbo tema: „Moterų požiūris ir aromaterapijos specialistų nuomonė apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes“. Pagrindiniai žodžiai: eteriniai aliejai, antivirusinės savybės. Temos aktualumas: tiriant daugelį augaluose besikaupiančių medžiagų nustatyta, jog būtent eteriniai aliejai pasižymi plačiu biologiniu poveikiu (Sharma, Kaur, 2020). Pastaraisiais metais susidomėjimas šiomis medžiagomis išaugo dėl jų gausybės moksliškai pagrįstų teigiamų savybių: antibakterinių, antivirusinių, antiseptinių, raminančių bei daugelio kitų. Mokslininkai pradėjo ieškoti natūralių alternatyvų sintetiniams cheminių vaistų ir kosmetikos komponentams, kurie kenkia ne tik žmogaus sveikatai, bet ir visai ekosistemai (Peters, 2016). Negana to, 2019 metais visą pasaulį užklupusi Covid – 19 virusinė infekcija pakeitė visiems įprastą gyvenimo ritmą, kas paskatino fizinių bei psichologinių problemų dažnumą. Tyrimo problema: koks moterų požiūris ir kokia aromaterapijos specialistų nuomonė apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes? Tyrimo objektas: moterų požiūris ir aromaterapijos specialistų nuomonė apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes. Tyrimo tikslas: atskleisti moterų požiūrį ir aromaterapijos specialistų nuomonę apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Aprašyti eterinių aliejų įtaką žmogaus organizmui bei jų antivirusinį poveikį. 2. Atskleisti eterinių aliejų panaudojimo galimybes kosmetinėse procedūrose ir namų aplinkoje. 3. Nustatyti moterų požiūrį į eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes. 4. Nustatyti aromaterapijos specialistų nuomonę apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: 1. Mokslinės ir profesinės literatūros analizė siekiant išsiaiškinti eterinių aliejų savybes ir antivirusinį poveikį. 2. Kiekybinis tyrimas, kurio tikslas išsiaiškinti moterų požiūrį apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes. Tiriamieji: 134 moterys. 3. Kokybinis tyrimas, kurio tikslas išsiaiškinti aromaterapijos specialistų nuomonę apie eterinius aliejus ir jų antivirusines savybes. Informantai: 3 aromaterapijos specialistai. Pagrindiniai empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: Gauti kiekybinio tyrimo rezultatai atskleidė, jog respondentės ne tik žino kas yra eteriniai aliejai ir kokiu biologiniu poveikiu jie pasižymi, bet ir taiko juos praktikoje (kosmetikos gamybai, aromaterapinėms vonioms). Moterys antivirusinėmis savybėmis pasižyminčius eterinius aliejus naudoja paviršių dezinfekcijai, patalpų oro gryninimui, inhaliacijoms. Išanalizavus kokybinio tyrimo rezultatus aromaterapijos specialistai patvirtino, jog šių substancijų poveikis grindžiamas moksliniais tyrimais ir pateikė antivirusinių savybių turinčių substancijų pritaikymo galimybes namų aplinkoje.	en_US
