dc.description	Relevance of the topic: pigmentation is a specific and complex mechanism that protects the skin from the harmful effects of the sun. However, this process is easily influenced by various internal and external factors that can lead to increased melanin production (Serre, Busuttil, & Botto 2018). Pigment disorders affect millions of people around the world and are an important factor that can negatively affect quality of life. Pigment spots are usually formed in places that are difficult to hide, which makes it difficult to socialize and has a significant impact on self-steem (Beresniak et al. 2015). Therefore, people are looking for various methods that can improve the appearance of the skin and then turn to specialists (Beresniak et al. 2015). One such method is chemical scrubbing, which is popular for solving a variety of skin problems, including pigmented spots (Kouris et al. 2018). Therefore, it is important for beauticians to find out how women value these procedures and whether their expectations are being met. Research problem: what is the opinion of women’s about the effect of chemical peels on solving skin pigmentation problems? Research object: women's opinion about the effect of chemical peels on solving skin pigmentation problems. The Aim: to reveal the opinion of women’s about the effect of chemical peels on solving skin pigmentation problems. Objectives of the research: 1. Define pigment spots and their causes. 2. Theoretically substantiate the mechanism of action of chemical peels and the effect on pigmentary spots. 3. To evaluate the opinion of women’s about the effect of chemical peels on solving skin pigmentation problems. Methods: 1. Analysis of scientific literature. 2. Quantitative research - survey. 3. Graphical data analysis. 9 Subjects: The study included 100 women of all ages, from 18 years, who have pigment spots or have had at some point in their lives. Research results: according to the study, most women believe that chemical peels is a very effective method. The desired results were achieved by those who performed more than 5 procedures. Also, a large proportion believe that the method is only partially effective. Surface depth peels, which does not remove pigment deposits in the dermis, was most commonly applied, so pigment spots could only lighten partially. The best results are obtained by repeated peelings, but most did not complete the course of procedures, although a positive effect was observed after 1 - 4 procedures. The fact that some women believe that the procedure is ineffective or worsens the skin condition may have been influenced by the small number of procedures performed, the depth of the pigmented spot, the complications experienced and the lack of sunscreen usage, which led to additional spots.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: pigmentacija yra specifinis ir sudėtingas mechanizmas, kuris apsaugo odą nuo žalingo saulės poveikio. Tačiau šis procesas yra lengvai paveikiamas įvairių vidinių ir išorinių faktorių, kurie gali sukelti padidėjusią melanino gamybą (Serre, Busuttil ir Botto 2018). Pigmentiniai sutrikimai pasireiškia milijonams žmonių visame pasaulyje ir yra svarbus faktorius galintis daryti neigiamą įtaką gyvenimo kokybei. Pigmentinės dėmės dažniausiai susidaro vietose, kurias sudėtinga paslėpti, todėl patiriami sunkumai bandant socializuotis bei daroma didelė įtaka savivertei. Todėl žmonės ieško įvairių metodų, galinčių pagerinti odos išvaizdą ir to pasekoje kreipiasi į specialistus (Beresniak ir kt. 2015). Vienas iš tokių metodų yra cheminis šveitimas, kuris populiarus sprendžiant įvairias odos problemas, įskaitant ir pigmentines dėmes (Kouris ir kt. 2018). Todėl kosmetologams yra aktualu sužinoti kaip moterys vertina šias procedūras ir ar pavyksta išpildyti jų lūkesčius. Tyrimo problema: kokia yra moterų nuomonė apie cheminių šveitiklių poveikį odos pigmentacijos problemų sprendimui? Tyrimo objektas: moterų nuomonė apie cheminių šveitiklių poveikį odos pigmentacijos problemų sprendimui. Tyrimo tikslas: atskleisti moterų nuomonę apie cheminių šveitiklių poveikį odos pigmentacijos problemų sprendimui. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Apibrėžti pigmentines dėmes ir jų atsiradimo priežastis. 2. Teoriškai pagrįsti cheminių šveitiklių veikimo mechanizmą ir poveikį pigmentinėms dėmėms. 3. Įvertinti kokia yra moterų nuomonė apie cheminių šveitiklių poveikį odos pigmentacijos problemų sprendimui. Tyrimo metodika: 1. Mokslinės literatūros analizė. 2. Kiekybinis tyrimas – apklausa. 3. Grafinė duomenų analizė. 7 Tiriamieji: tyrime dalyvavo 100 įvairaus amžiaus moterų, nuo 18 metų, kurios turi pigmentinių dėmių ar yra turėjusios kuriuo nors gyvenimo periodu. Tyrimo rezultatai: tyrimo duomenimis dauguma moterų mano, kad cheminis šveitimas yra labai veiksmingas metodas. Norimus rezultatus pasiekti pavyko toms, kurios atliko daugiau, nei 5 procedūras. Taip pat didelė dalis mano, kad metodas yra tik iš dalies veiksmingas. Dažniausiai taikytas paviršinio gylio šveitimas, kuris nepašalina dermoje esančių pigmento sankaupų, todėl pigmentinės dėmės galėjo pašviesėti tik iš dalies. Geriausi rezultatai pasiekiami šveitimą atliekant pakartotinai, tačiau dauguma neatliko pilno procedūrų kurso, nors teigiamą efektą pastebėjo po 1 – 4 procedūrų. Tai, kad dalis moterų mano, jog procedūra neveiksminga ar pabloginanti odos būklę, galėjo įtakoti per mažas atliktų procedūrų skaičius, pigmentinės dėmės gylis, patirtos komplikacijos bei apsaugos nuo saulės nenaudojimas, kuris paskatino papildomų dėmių atsiradimą.	en_US
