The final thesis consists of introduction, two parts of literature analysis, researchanalysis, conclusions, list of references and appendix. The first part deals with the concept of family and the characteristics of families at risk. The second part discusses the concept of social services, and the concept of intervention and the methods of social work. The thesis is finalized with conclusions summarizing the theoretical and practical analyses of the subject. Relevance of the topic - the methods of social work have been little analysed from a sociological point of view. Social workers who work with families in need must have a good understanding of the working methods used and be able to apply them in practice. Subject matter of the research– methods that a social worker applies when working with families facing social risks. Aim of the research– reveal the pros and cons of the most commonly used methods while working with families at social risk. Research question – which methods of social work are most commonly used while working with families at social risk and what are the advantages and disadvantages of those methods? Methodology of the research – 38 social workers who work with families at social risk were interviewed. The method of survey questionnairewas chosen for the research. Probabilistic and non-probabilistic targeting methods were selected. The questionnaire consists of 17 questions. The study was conducted inApril 2019.
Conclusions of the research - The analysis of the research part introduces a study that helped to determine which methods of social work are used most often by social workers when working with families that are of social risk, and what the advantages and disadvantages of the applied methods are. The thesis ends with conclusions summarizing the theoretical and practical analysis of the topic. The research determined that social workers who work with families of social risk apply methods of counselling, individual work, work with a group of clients, social work in a community, case management, sociogram of the family, genogram of the family, the network of the family connection and the sculpture of the family. The most commonly used methods are counselling, case management and the network of the family connection. The subjects of the research pointed out advantages and disadvantages of applied methods of social work. |

Socialinio darbo metodai mažai nagrinėjami sociologiniu požiūriu, todėl trūksta žinių apie jų pritaikymą praktikoje, tačiau kiekvienas socialinis darbuotojas, norėdamas padėti klientui (šeimai), turi žinoti galimus pagalbos būdus. Darbas su socialinę riziką patiriančiomis šeimomis yra nelengvas, reikalaujantis nemažai žinių ir įgūdžių, tačiau nėra teoriškai išskirtų socialinio darbo metodų dirbti su sunkumus patiriančiomis šeimomis, todėl socialiniams darbuotojams svarbu turėti žinių ir mokėti pritaikyti praktikoje bendrus socialinio darbo metodus. Tinkamas socialinių metodų parinkimas ir pritaikymas skatina teigiamus ir ilgalaikius pokyčius kliento ir jo artimiausios aplinkos – šeimos gyvenime. |
