Relevance of the topic: In our society it is common for voluntary social activities to be carried out in various institutions, companies and organizations. In each field, it is special in the experience and services it provides and receives. As children are part of our growing society, we need to pay special attention to their development and integration into society. There are some families in the society that cannot properly convey the social skills for the child, for this reason the child becomes socially vulnerable, due to an unsafe social cultural environment, lack of positive relationships in the family, and unable to survive in critic situations. Therefore, these children are assisted by day care centers, which are also open to volunteers, who must have certain abilities and competence when working with this group of clients. Aim of the thesis: To find out the peculiarities of voluntary social activities in day care centers for children. Object of the thesis: Peculiarities of voluntary social activity in children's day centers. The main question of the research: What are the peculiarities of voluntary social activities in day care centers for children? Research method: A qualitative study using a semi-structured interview. 5 people were interviewed - social workers who supervised volunteers in day care centers for children. An analysis of the data obtained during the interview was performed. Conclusions of the research: Empirical research revealed that voluntary social activities in day care centers for children make up a very large part of their work. In order to find out the peculiarities of these activities, especially when working in day care centers for children, the importance of motivation and difficulties were also noticed. All respondents in the study unanimously stressed the importance of knowing the stages of the child's age and being able to recognize each of them. It was also noticeable that the children attending the center are more emotionally vulnerable, have a variety of difficulties in families, making them more difficult to communicate or feel full with members of society. All informants unanimously agreed that volunteers' contribution is very important in providing social services. |

Mūsų visuomenėja yra įprasta, jog savanoriška socialinė veikla yra atliekama įvairiose įstaigose, įmonėse ir organizacijose. Kiekvienoje srityje ji yra ypatinga savo teikiamomis bei gaunamomis patirtimis ir paslaugomis. Kadangi vaikai yra mūsų augančios visuomenės dalis jiems reikia skirti ypatingą dėmesį, juos ugdant ir integruojant į visuomenę. Visuomenėje yra dalis šeimų, kurios negali tinkamai perteikti vaikui socialinių įgūdžių dėl šios priežasties vaikas tampa socialiai pažeidžiamas, dėl nesaugios socialinės kultūrinės aplinkos, pozityvių santykių šeimoje trūkumo, negeba išgyventi krizinių situacijų. Todėl šiems vaikams pagalbą teikia vaikų dienos centrai į kurių veiklą įsitraukia ir savanoriai, kurie turi turėti tam tikrų ypatybių dirbant su šia klientų grupe. |
