Nurses are required by law to inform and educate patients about the dangers of harmful habits, the benefits of NCD, rational nutrition and physical activity, prevention of injuries and injuries, strengthening mental health, communicable diseases and their prevention. Inform patients about preventive programs and encourage them to participate. 2. According to the Lithuanian Medical Standard MN 57: 2011, the community nurse has the right to independently advise and train patients and their family members on health education, support, strengthening, harmful habits and disease prevention. In addition, you need to know the principles of health preservation and enhancement, know the principles and ways of motivating patients to improve health and be able to teach. 3. Statistically significant (p <0.05) public sector nurses provide general information on how to strengthen their health status on demand, as well as independently consult patients by all means (telephone, office, home). Almost all nurses always provide information on preventive programs. The majority of nurses inform patients about the need for health promotion, but they do not have enough time to provide information on the benefits of LNL, rational nutrition and physical activity, prevention of injuries and injuries, and patients are usually informed about infectious diseases and their prevention during each visit. 4. Most private nurses provide patients with on-demand information on how to strengthen their health, but rarely or independently consult patients. Less than half of nurses are always informing patients about preventive programs, and the majority of nurses do not attend patients at home. 5. Most nurses in the public and private sectors inform and teach patients how to strengthen their health condition on demand. Nurses in the public sector have more often indicated that it is not enough time for them to inform and train patients than for private sector nurses. However, private sector nurses are less self-advised on health promotion issues. en_US
