| dc.description | Keywords: Body composition, Parkinson's disease, static balance. Object of the study: The body composition and static balance of persons with Parkinson's disease, as well as the interrelationship between these indexes. Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease, one of the most common and associated with elevated age ( Gao ir kt. 2017). Symptoms of this disease, which can be classified as motor and nonmotor disorders, often affect the quality of life of a person with this disease (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, 2017). Postural instability is one of the most motor disorder in Parkinson's disease (Rinalduzzi et al. 2015). As a result, patients are at increased risk of falling, (Wilczynski et al 2017). According to statistical data, more than 50 percent of the patients suffer from falls (Opara et al 2017). Persons suffering from this disease are also suffering from 62 percent more falls than those suffering from any other neurological disease (Barbosa et al 2016). Also, changes in body composition and body mass are often evident in the progression of Parkinson's disease. The most commonly reported decrease in body weight (Wilczynski et al. 2017), and sometimes this can occur even before the diagnosis (Akbar et al. 2015). Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to evaluate the body composition and static balance and to find out interfaces between these measurements Goals of the study: 1. Assess the body composition of patients with Parkinson's disease. 2. To assess the static balance of patients with Parkinson's disease. 3.
