Evaluating the effectiveness of reservation systems for hotels. The example of Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel in Vilnius

Abstract

Description of the work: The reservation system function is important in marketing any hotel, since this is the first stage in the room selling process. At the moment, the topic is relevant - it is important for hotel managers to know effectiveness of hotel reservations systems and their types, because it is possible to find out from a reservation system whether a hotel is profitable, visited or not, or their reservation system is able to perform all necessary functions. The main problem: when the reservation system types are identified, the efficiency of the reservation systems can be evaluated. However, due to the lack of literature about the types of reservation systems in hotels, the question is: what are the types of hotel reservation systems and how effective are they at “Radisson Blu Royal Astoria Hotel”? Research method: analysis of scientific literature review; interview, survey, SWOT analysis. Structure of the work: The theoretical part describes the concept of the reservation systems, distinguishes the types of reservation systems and how the efficiency of the reservation system can be assessed. Practical part provides hotel analysis, reservation systems efficiency suggestions. The results: Evaluated the effectiveness of reservation systems used in hotel. Scope of the thesis: the paper consists of 57 pages, 7 tables, 13 figures, 24 literature sources of information.
