When taking too much drugs, they are misused, wrongly dosed or invalid indication. In this case, self-help can not only be helpful but also can be harmful. 2. In the world, about half of the pharmaceutical market is made up of herbal preparations. Medicinal teas are used the most. The most popular medicinal herbs are: thyme, chamomile, lemon balm, valerian and motherwort. Without medicinal teas, traditional herbal medicines also are very popular, such as: hawthorn tincture, heart drops, valerian tincture, and heart-improving drops. Herbal medicinal products are also well known. Medicinal herbal remedies can increase or, conversely, decrease the function of chemical drugs. 3. In order to find out about the experience of herbal medicinal products 130 Siauliai city people were asked to answer the questions. Summarized data showed that the use of herbal products is increasing. The results of this research confirmed that the most popular herbal preparation is tea. It is also possible to see from the research results a positive theoretical review of the most popular tea and traditional herbal preparations. Most of the respondents do not inform their doctors about using herbal products, which means that they are self-medication and decide themselves how, when and when they should be taken.
