With the growing popularity of the online stores, also grows the popularity of parcel services. This is because when ordering goods online, they are almost always delivered through couriers to the consignee’s homes, at postal service terminals or to the delivery points. Due to the growing popularity of courier service, competition between shipping companies is also increasing. The main problem of the professional BA thesis – As competition between shipment transportation companies increases, there is the risk that customers will choose one shipment transportation company more than other companies. Thus, in order to be in a higher position in the market, it is important to analyse the market of shipment transportation service in order to be able to take decisions on improving the company’s services. The aim of the professional BA thesis - To reveal the possibilities of improvement of shipment transportation at Itella Logistics UAB. Objectives of the professional BA thesis: 1. To analyse theoretical aspects of analysing the competitive environment of the shipment transportation; 2. To carry out analysis of the competitive environment of the Lithuanian shipment transportation market; 3. To submit the possibilities of improvement of shipments transportation ofItella Logistics UAB. Methods of the professional BA thesis – analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire survey, analysis of the competitive environment of the shipment transportation market. The structure – The theoretical part of the work discusses the analysis of the competitive environment of the shipment transportation market in the theoretical aspect. The practical part of the work introduces the results of the research of the activities carried out by Itella Logistics UAB, the analysis of the shipment transportation market, a study was carried out in order to find out the ways of improving of shipment transportation in Itella Logistics UAB. In the project part, a theoretical and analytical part review was performed, service improvements were provided and the best solution for service improvement was highlighted. The results. The reasons for the unpopularity of UAB Itella Logistics have been revealed, after identifying the methods of analysing the parcel market and analysing the parcel shipping market. For these reasons, suggestions were made on how to improve the company's transportation services. Short suggestions/recommendations. Itella Logistics UAB is recommended to build its own parcel locker, then the demand for the shipment transportation services will increase and the company itself will increase its advertising, which will attract even more customers. The work consists of 58 pages, 5 tables, 25 pictures, 39 references and sources of information, 1 appendice.	en
dc.description.abstract	Baigiamojo darbo teorinėje dalyje atlikta siuntų rinkos konkurencinės aplinkos analizė teoriniu aspektu. Analitinėje darbo dalyje išanalizuota UAB „Itella Logistics“ vykdoma veikla, atlikta siuntų pervežimo rinkos analizė, įvykdytas tyrimas, siekiant išsiaiškinti UAB „Itella Logistics“ siuntų pervežimo tobulinimo būdus. Projektinėje darbo dalyje atlikta teorinės ir analitinės dalių apžvalga, pateikti paslaugos tobulinimo būdai ir išskirtas geriausias paslaugos tobulinimo sprendimas.	en_US
