The relevance and problem of the topic - due to considerable competition, the aesthetics of hotels interior or exterior has a diminishing importance in retaining and attracting new customers in the hotel service market. Hotels have to introduce modern technologies, in order to achieve effective business development. Consequently, needs of the customers could be addressed in a more effective manner with a greater retention of future visitors. Nonetheless, the application of modern technologies in the hotels is not widely researched, hence, our belief that this work can add to the development of the knowledge. Problem of the topic: how the lack of modern technology affects the four star rating hotels if Kaunas. Problem question rise from this: what are the applications of modern technologies in the four star rating hotels of Kaunas? The aim of the study - to establish the level of application of modern technology in the four star rating hotels of Kaunas. The objectives of the study. • To research the values and the services the hotels provide; • to substantiate the importance of using technology; • to analyse the ways technology can be used and applied; • to discuss an innovative approach to the application of technology and possible problems when trying to implement them in the hotels; • to research the application of modern technology in hotels of Kaunas; • to make recommendations for solutions to the existing problems. Methods used in the study - The secondary qualitative research will be based on a literature review, primary research will involve qualitative research where interviews will be carried out and quotative research will be used when gathering information through questioners. The results of the study. The qualitative research has provided with the information on the values and the services hotels provide, the importance of the application of modern technology and possibilities of implementation of them in the hotels. The secondary research could be beneficial for the hotel management when aiming to improve the effectiveness of the hotel. The primary research has provided us with the information on what modern technologies are being used and what are the possibilities of further extending the use of them in the four star rating hotels of Kaunas. This information could be used by hotels to familiarise themselves with what the competitors are using and what improvements they could make in their own hotels.	en
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas ir problema -viešbučių paslaugų rinkoje vykstant nemažai konkurencijai neužtenka vien gražaus interjero ar eksterjero, itin aukštos paslaugų kokybės. Dėl to vis daugiau dėmesio skiriama lankytojams pritraukti ir išlaikyti. Siekiant efektyvaus verslo vystymo, pranašumo konkurencijoje, būtina viešbučiams savo veikloje diegti vis naujesnes technologijas. Dėl to tampa aktualu, kaip įgyti konkurencinį pranašumą ir pasiūlyti kuo įvairesnes ir patrauklesnes paslaugas, patenkinat lankytojų poreikius. Be to, technologijų panaudojimo galimybės viešbučių veikloje nėra pakankamai ištirtos, tai suponuoja šios tiriamos temos aktualumą. Kyla tokia problema, kaip technologijų trūkumas viešbučiuose, paveikia jo veikla. Ši problema formuluojama tokiu probleminiu klausimu: kokios technologijų taikymo galimybės yra Kauno miesto keturių žvaigždučių viešbučių veikloje? Praktinėje darbo dalyje atliekamas technologijų taikymo galimybių Kauno miesto keturių žvaigždučių viešbučių veikloje tyrimas. Išsiaiškinama ir nustatoma Kauno mieste keturių žvaigždučių esančiuose viešbučiuose taikomos technologijos bei galimybės naujoms technologijoms diegti. Atliktas praktinis tyrimas gali padėti Kauno viešbučių administravimo komandoms labiau susipažinti su Kauno miesto viešbučiuose naudojamomis technologijomis, žymiai lengviau nuspręsti pasirinkti tai, kas jiems priimtiniau, patraukliau, naudingiau vykdant viešbučių veiklas.	en_US
