Diabetes mellitus, especially its complications, makes oral health worse and complicates the care. People with diabetes who are poorly controlled for glycemic are more likely to have infections or inflammation, which is connected with a decrease in insulin sensitivity and possibly may impair glycemic control. Health care services can significantly and positively affect oral health condition of diabetic patients and whole body health. Problematic issue. What kind of oral care is of patients with diagnosed diabetes? The object of research - diabetic patients and their oral care. The aim - to reveal the diabetic patients' oral care. Research objectives: 1. Theoretically justify diabetes etiology and pathogenesis. 2. Describe changes in diabetic patients oral cavity and care. 3. To identify diabetic patients oral health, based on their point of view. The methodology of investigation. Applying quantitative research method, a survey was conducted with 105 respondents (68 of them women and 37 men). The results of the study were analyzed using Word and Microsoft Office Excel and are presented in the final work. Research results. Most of the participants answered that they have type 2 diabetes. The most commonly occurring illness in the mouth are gingivitis, periodontitis, xerostomia and tooth decay. Researchers, despite that they are controlling blood glucose level, their quality of life and gum condition described as average. Also, according to further research data, respondents do not spend enough time to care for the oral cavity. To oral hygienists and dentists, visits are irregularly, or they do not visit at all. However, most respondents brush teeth twice a day and change the toothbrush every 2 to 3 months. Commonly, for daily care is used hand toothbrush and toothpaste Other individual oral hygiene products are used rarely or not used at all. It is important for the oral hygienist to work closely with the patient, thereby improving the general condition of the body and oral health. Work scope. The work consists of 52 pages, 5 tables, 18 pictures, 66 literature sources, 1 appendix.
