The importance of transport is increasing every day in the world. This factor determines the creation of new companies. For companies which are already on the market, this means a growing number of competitors. In order for companies to maintain their competitive edge and market position, it is important to ensure the quality of the services provided to customers. Quality Management System is required in order to focus on quality services. The Quality Management System affects the processes performed by the company, the servicing of customers and partners. The Quality Management System has an impact on creating and maintenancing trust of a company. This work analyzes the necessity, the benefits and the application opportunities of the Quality Management System. The main problem of the professional BA thesis. The improper organization of the freight transportation process has a negative impact on the company's logistical activity and the level of competitiveness. How can the Quality Management System improve the freight transportation process? The aim of the professional BA thesis. To analyze the application opportunities of the Quality Management System in the management of logistics activities at UAB "Teta". Objectives of the professional BA thesis: 1. To describe the management of transport logistics from a theoretical point of view. 2. To perform the analysis of the company‘s activity. 3. To study the benefits of the Quality Management System for UAB "Teta" freight transportation improvement. 4. Identify opportunities for improving the logistics process. Methods of the professional BA thesis. Scientific literature analysis, qualitative research - semi structured interview, quantitative research - questionnaire survey, analysis of company data. The structure of the professional BA thesis. The theoretical part describes the transport location in the logistics chain, aspects of freight transportation. It also describes the Quality Management Systems and their application in the management of logistic activities. The analytical part presents the history of the company, its management structure. The analysis of the ongoing activities, services provided. Presenting the done researches to identify the problem, the results obtained are presented. The project section contains summary of researches, problem solving methods, and financial expenses. The results/conclusions. The qualitative and quantitative research has revealed that the main problem is the improper organized cargo transportation process, which causes delays in the delivery of freights. This is affected by the lengthy process that one employee has to take. Due to the heavy work for one employee, work is done in a poor quality. To solve this problem, it is recommended to install Agile's Quality Management System, use the Kanban method. The work consists of 63 pages, 11 tables, 22 pictures, 46 references and sources of information, 2 appendices.	en
dc.description.abstract	Baigiamojo darbo teorinėje dalyje aprašoma transporto vieta logistikos grandinėje, krovinių pervežimo aspektai. Taip pat aprašomos kokybės vadybos sistemos, jų taikymas logistinės veiklos valdyme. Analitinėje dalyje pateikiama įmonės istorija, valdymo struktūra, analizuojama vykdoma veikla, teikiamos paslaugos. Atliekami tyrimai problemai identifikuoti, pateikiami gauti rezultatai. Projektinėje dalyje pateikiamas tyrimų apibendrinimas, problemos sprendimo būdai, finansinės išlaidos.	en_US
