dc.description	Research relevance of the study. The relevance of the topic is determined by the rapid and exponential growth of allergic diseases in the adult population. Over the last three decades, such illness has tripled. Cosmetologists are constantly in contact with various chemicals and chemical compounds during their jobs, they become sensitive to them. They often suffer from various allergic diseases and cannot work professionally at all. This causes huge financial, social and economic problems and difficulties in their lives. Research problem: Allergic diseases in cosmetologist’s job. The aim of the research: Identify the frequencies and causes of allergic diseases at the cosmetologist's work. The goals of the research: 1. Describe the concepts of atopic state and its etiology; 2. Distinguish main allergic skin diseases and their causes; 3. Assess the opinion of the cosmetologists sbout most common allergic skin diseases in cosmetologist professional activities. Research methods: Scientific and professional literature analysis, anonymous questionnaire survey and descriptive statistical analysis method. Research survey sample: Cosmetologist (N=23) have been participating in the questionnaire, whose average work experience is ~9 years (from 25 to 45 years of age and more), engaged in private cosmetologist professional activities or managing their own business. Research results: Majority of the cosmetologists did not have any allergic reactions to irritant factors present at work, but cosmetologists that were spotted to have allergic reactions gained them during the professional activities. Most often respondents started their professional career already having atopic skin disorder but it is proven that skin condition worsened more during the activity, the disease caused symptoms appeared more often. Because of the constant effects of the irritants and chronic stress, skin becomes more sensitized and respondents more often experience allergic reactions and get atopic dermatitis or some other form of skin disorder. The biggest impact on the skin is caused by disinfectant liquids, which is impossible to avoid working as a cosmetologist. Hand skin gets dry, it becomes itchy, there is an urge to scratch constantly, the protective skin barrier is lost, the immunological reaction of the body is corrupted, it gets easier for the inflammation to occur. Respondents seeking to protect their skin, to reduce its inflammation are most likely to use protective and moisturizing creams. Also as often they tend to use protective gloves but as often the chemical compounds in the gloves irritate the skin. Doctors dermatologists state that cosmetologists and representatives of similar professions often are diagnosed with atopic dermatitis. Currently, the most effective measure of healing the atopic state are smaller doses of stress, less handwashing and usage of individually selected protective measures. Conclusions: 1. There are many symptoms of atopic state and they manifest in allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, food allergies and other. Skin atopy manifests by skin dryness, redness, itching, wetting or rashes, decreased skin barrier function, natural skin irritation factors, increased transepidermal water loss, damage to the epidermis cells, or even destruction. Weakens the skin's immune system, reduces skin elasticity, resistance to infections, inflammation, changes its appearance. 2. The most common atopic disorder among cosmetologists is atopic dermatitis, which is caused by exogenous and endogenous factors. Irritants are abundant in cosmetics, hygiene, disinfectants and even protective gloves used during work. It is expedient to investigate the cause of dermatitis and remove it, as it is currently the most effective means of reducing the symptoms of atopic conditions. 3. An analysis of the study data revealed that one third of the cosmetologists had an atopic state and had allergic reactions to some sort of irritant. More than half of them have got allergic reactions after the beginning of cosmetologist's professional activity. Cosmetologists sensitized their bodies daily by working with various irritants, which caused an atopic condition. Cosmetologists say that most of the negative influence on their skin condition is caused by disinfectants, cosmetics and frequent hand washing. The body is irritated by facial procedures, body massages due to procedures used during procedures.	en
