Description:
In the final work, the access project of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences Medical Faculty, which provides the network with high-speed and high-security passive optical access network. An analysis of the current situation has shown what the current threats to the network are and what needs to be improved. According to the evacuation plans, a plan of the premises has been designed and wifi equipment has been laid out in it. After checking various standards of optical technology, the type of cable to be used in the project and its wavelength were selected. An analysisof network parameter monitoring programs was performed to further monitor the network. In the project part, a conceptual network model is created, backup power is created. Network availability and vulnerabilities have been calculated. The network model is demonstrated in the experimental part. In this work the sending of packets via the main and backup trunks is checked. In the last part of the project, the design, implementation and maintenance costs were calculated. Recommendations for further speed increase are provided.
The project consists of the following parts: introduction, analytical part, project specification, design part, experimental part, economic part, work results and conclusions, as well as a list of used literature (22 sources) and appendices. Thesis consists of 45 pages, 21 tables and 18 images.
