Santrauka:
Description:
Thesis investigates and applies mobile applications to conventional and unconventional warfare.
The relevance of the research is based on the fact that in order to prepare for active civil resistance, it is necessary to find suitable mobile applications that are safe to use in the event of a threat, either in the context of active resistance or while interacting with friendly military units in occupied territory, in such a way that the transmitted data or information is not scanned and disclosed to the hostile forces under the control of an Internet Service Provider.
The problem is that there are a number of smart mobile applications on the market with a communication functions, but it is not clear which ones are safe to use and are adaptable to conventional and unconventional warfare. The study analyses the most popular encryption method end-to-end encryption and applications WhatsApp, Viber, Signal, Wickr and Zello to conventional and unconventional warfare, by designing tactical tasks performance and what kind of data could be transmitted.
The study of mobile applications for encrypted data transmission is significant because during conventional warfare a mobile application could be able to perform the functions of a radio station as an alternative to a possible radio intercept. During unconventional war, mobile applications could be used for civil resistance tasks, interacting with friendly units, sabotaging the infrastructure of the occupying forces together with other resistance fighters.
The results of the study are obtained by discovering the best mobile applications for secure communication with end-to-end encryption and presenting mobile application evaluation in a simulated conventional and unconventional warfare tasks. It also estimates the cost of a project for a civil resistance organization setting up tactical operational communication centers with Starlink satellite communications as the main communication provider.
