Relevance of the topic– it is very important for adults with disabilities who lives in the foster care home to belong in a social group, to have social relations with relatives and other people around them, to connect with new people. These people can not always establish contact with other people due to the type of physical disability and the progression of the disease they have. Not all disabled people being visited by their relatives that is why the aim of the social worker is to encourage people with physical disabilities to communicate, to establish new relationships and social development. The practical significance of the study – survey researchrevealed who is visiting adults with physical disabilities in the foster care home, with whom they are keeping in touch and also in this research we will find out how social worker is encouraging people with disabilities to communicate. The aim – to identify the social relationships of adults with physical disabilities living in foster care homes. The object – social relationship of adults with physical disabilities living in the foster care home. Question - what kind of social relationships adults with physical disabilities have in foster care homes? Methods - descriptive quantitative survey. Investigator –Adults with physical disabilities living in the foster care homes. The results – according to the study all habitants of foster care home are visited by their relatives, most of the people are using mobile devices and they are tend to initiate new social relationships with new people. The choice of activities they are participating in depends on their hobbies and the condition of their physical disability. Half of the respondents said that they like to read. One third of respondents said that they like to initiate new social relationships. Correspondents points out that new social relationships detrmines the way they feel about themselves, they like to be sociable because it makes them feel beter and maik it easier to talk with other people and mantain social relation. Half of correspondence claimed that they like to leave foster care house and go outside. One third of them visiting various places, most of the times they are going grocery shopping, goes for a walk in the park, Third of them are visiting medical institutions. |

Suaugusiems asmenims, turintiems fizinę negalią bei gyvenantiems globos namuose, labai svarbu priklausyti kokiai nors socialinei grupei, turėti socialinius ryšius su artimaisiais ir kitais juos supančiais asmenimis, užmegzti ryšį su naujais asmenimis. Asmenys, turintys fizinę negalią, ne visada gali užmegzti kontaktą su kitais asmenimis dėl fizinės negalios tipo ir ligos progresavimo. Neįgaliuosius, kurie gyvena globos namuose, ne visus ir ne visada lanko giminės bei artimieji, todėl socialinio darbuotojo užduotis – skatinti asmenis, turinčius fizinę negalią, bendrauti, užmegzti naujus ryšius bei socialiai vystytis. |
