| dc.description | Relevance of the topic: the pacemaker raises concerns for patients, thus nurse provided patient training improves their awareness, physical state and the ability to take care of themselves. Purpose of the study: evaluate knowledge of nurses about patient training during implantation of pacemaker. Objectives: 1. Review the scientific literature related to patient training in pacemaker implantation; 2. To reveal the knowledge of nurses about training patients before implanting a pacemaker; 3. To reveal the knowledge of nurses about the training of patients after implantation of a pacemaker. Problem of the study: what is the knowledge of nurses related to the training of patients regarding implantable pacemakers? Object of the study: nurses’ knowledge about patient training regarding pacemaker implantation. Methodology and subjects: an analysis of the scientific literature and a quantitative study by means of an anonymous questionnaire were performed. 59 respondents participated in the questionnaire. The answers received were compiled into Microsoft Office Excel and analyzed via the program. Results: according to the compiled data more than half of the respondents evaluated their knowledge of pacemaker implantation to be more than 7 points. However, they did not inform that the patient must not chew gum, use contact lenses during implantation or wear a wig, or about the bed mode that is required for one day, also they did not teach about anxiety management, breathing or coughing exercises. The study revealed that half of the respondents evaluated their knowledge about patient training after pacemaker implantation to be less than 7 points, they did not inform about contact sports and identification card and scheduled checks. Furthermore, more than half of respondents did not inform patients about sexual activities, vehicle driving, medical procedures which are not allowed after implantation. Lastly, they did not inform about safety while using electronic devices which could disturb the work of pacemaker. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Temos aktualumas: Elektrokardiostimuliatorius kelia susirūpinimą ir nerimą pacientams, todėl slaugytojų teikiamas mokymas pacientams, gerina jų sąmoningumą, fizinę būseną ir gebėjimus rūpintis savimi. Darbo tikslas: Įvertinti slaugytojų žinias apie pacientų mokymą implantuojant elektrokardiostimuliatorių. Uždaviniai: 1. Apžvelgti mokslinę literatūrą susijusią su pacientų mokymu implantuojant elektrokardiostimuliatorių; 2. Atskleisti slaugytojų žinias apie pacientų mokymą prieš elektrokardiostimuliatoriaus implantavimą; 3. Atskleisti slaugytojų žinias apie pacientų mokymą po elektrokardiostimuliatoriaus implantavimo. Tyrimo problema: kokios slaugytojų žinios apie pacientų mokymą susijusį su implantuojamu elektrokardiostimuliatoriumi? Tyrimo objektas: slaugytojų žinios apie pacientų mokymą susijusi su elektrokardiostimuliatoriaus implantavimu. Metodika ir tiriamieji: Atlikta mokslinės literatūros analizė ir kiekybinis tyrimas, anoniminės anketinės apklausos būdu. Tyrime dalyvavo 59 respondentai. Gauti atsakymai buvo suvesti į Microsoft Office Excel ir analizuojami programos viduje. Rezultatai: Gauti duomenys atskleidė, kad pusė respondentų savo žinias apie pacientų mokymą, prieš elektrokardiostimuliatoriaus implantavimą vertino daugiau 7 balų, be to neinformavo, kad negalima kramtyti gumos, būti su kontaktiniais lęšiais ar peruku, kad bus taikomas gulimas rėžimas vieną parą, tai pat nemokino nerimo valdymo, kvėpavimo, kosėjimo pratimų. Nustatyta, kad pusė respondentų savo žinias apie pacientų mokymą, po elektrokardiostimuliatoriaus implantavimo vertino mažiau 7 balų, neinformavo apie kontaktinį sportą ir detaliai apie identifikavimo kortelę bei planinius patikrinimus, ir daugiau kaip pusė apie seksualumą, automobilio vairavimą, apie medicinines procedūras, kurių negalima atlikti pacientams po implantacijos, ir apie saugumą, naudojantis elektroniniais prietaisais, galinčiais sutrikdyti elektrokardiostimuliatoriaus veiklą. | en_US |
