Lauko pedagogika vaikų gyvenime užima svarbią vietą, nesvarbu ankstyvojo amžiaus ar priešmokyklinio amžiaus vaikams vienodai įdomu: tyrinėjimai, gamtos pažinimas, lavinamos visos vaikų ugdymo kompetencijos ypatingai pažinimo kompetencija, pojūčių svarba, gaunamas laisvės pojūtis, fizinės raidos, judėjimo įgūdžių tobulinimas.
