Relevance of the topic - Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that worsens the quality of life of more than 300 million people worldwide (World Health Organization, 2020). Based on the experience of the United States, the Nationwide Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program established by the United States Department of Health and Human Services encourages pharmacists to train patients to use inhaled and other medications properly, to live a healthy life. , 2020). The world is experiencing an increasing number of people with asthma (The Global Asthma Network, 2018). Therefore, it is very important that pharmaceutical specialists provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to the Lithuanian population in case of asthma. The research problem - what is the need to provide pharmaceutical services in pharmacies for asthma patients? The object of the research is the need to provide pharmaceutical services in patients with asthma. The aim of the study is to reveal the need for the provision of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies for asthma patients. Research tasks: 1. To single out the role of pharmacists in the provision of pharmaceutical services in the case of asthma. 2. Describe the impact of asthma on a patient's quality of life. 3. To determine the need for the provision of pharmaceutical services to patients with asthma in pharmacies. Research methods: Analysis of scientific literature - use of scientific articles, works, book information, substantiating the relevance and importance of the topic of the bachelor's thesis and the role of a pharmaceutical specialist in the case of asthma. Standardized survey - the chosen tool to find out 8 the opinion of respondents. The obtained data of the survey respondents are presented in the empirical part after processing them in Microsoft Excel. The main results of the empirical research: Examining the socio-demographic characteristics of the professional bachelor's thesis, we notice that the majority of the respondents who participated in the survey are women, the minority are men. Although only one-fifth of respondents said they had asthma, analyzing the results of the study suggests that the majority of respondents believe that the role of a pharmacist is important for asthma patients. Also, the results analysis section presents the results of questions aimed at elucidating and revealing the need for the provision of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies for asthma patients.	en_US

Temos aktualumas – Astma yra lėtinė uždegiminė liga, kuri blogina gyvenimo kokybę daugiau nei 300 milijonų gyventojų visame pasaulyje (World Health Organization, 2020). Atsižvelgiant į Jungtinių Amerikos Valstijų patirtį, sveikatos skatinimo ir ligų prevencijos visoje šalyje programa, kurią nustatė Jungtinių Valstijų sveikatos ir žmogiškųjų paslaugų departamentas, skatina farmacijos specialistus mokyti pacientus tinkamai naudoti inhaliacinius ir kitus vaistinius preparatus, sveikai gyventi, kad pagerėtų pacientų gyvenimo kokybė (Healthy People, 2020). Pasaulyje vis daugiau gyventojų suserga astma (The Global Asthma Network, 2018). Todėl labai svarbu, kad farmacijos specialistai Lietuvos gyventojams suteiktų išsamią farmacinę paslaugą astmos atveju. Tyrimo problema - koks farmacinės paslaugos teikimo poreikis astma sergantiems pacientams? Tyrimo objektas – farmacinės paslaugos teikimo poreikis sergant astma. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti respondentų nuomonę apie farmacinės paslaugos teikimo poreikį astma sergantiems pacientams. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Teoriškai pagrįsti farmacijos specialisto vaidmenį farmacinės paslaugos teikime astmos atveju. 2. Išskirti rizikos veiksnius, kurie sąlygoja astmos atsiradimą ir paūmėjimą. 3. Nustatyti respondentų nuomonę apie farmacinės paslaugos teikimo poreikį pacientams, sergant astma. Tyrimo metodai: Mokslinės literatūros analizė – mokslinių straipsnių, darbų, knygų informacijos naudojimas, pagrindžiant baigiamojo bakalauros darbo temos aktualumą, svarbą ir farmacijos specialistų vaidmenį astmos atveju. Anoniminė anketinė apklausa – sudarytas tyrimo 6 instrumentas anketa, kuri skirta išsiaiškinti respondentų nuomonę. Apklausoje gauti duomenys apdorojus Microsoft Excel programa pateikiami empirinėje dalyje. Pagrindiniai empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: Atlikus rezultatų analizę galima teigti, jog didžioji dalis respondentų mano, kad reikalinga farmacijos specialisto teikiama farmacinė paslauga sergant astma. Farmacijos specialistai yra vieni iš svarbiausių, lengvai prieinamų specialistų, kurie vaistinėje gali suteikti farmacinę paslaugą, astmos atveju, apimant receptų tikrinimą, receptinių vaistinių preparatų parinkimą atsižvelgiant į kainą, informacijos apie vaistinių preparatų vartojimo būdą, sąveikas su kitais vaistais teikimą. Gauti rezultatai atskleidė, kad farmacijos specialistų suteikiama farmacinė paslauga astmos atveju yra reikalinga	en_US
