dc.description	Relevance of the topic. The current COVID-19 pandemic has global implications for the health, economy, and education, worldwide (Levine, Rathmell, 2020). Comparing the effectiveness of traditional and distance learning, most students indicate that face-to-face contact with a teacher is an important factor in learning that is lacking during distance learning (Adnan, Anwar 2020). Investigation problem. What are the career opportunities for the occupational therapy students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic? Research object. Students studying the occupational therapy study program at Kaunas and Vilnius colleges, Lithuanian health sciences and Vilnius universities. The aim. To evaluate career opportunities of occupational therapy students in the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic. Research tasks: 1. To reveal the career prospect expectations of occupational therapy students in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. 2. To identify career plans of occupational therapy students and their determining factors. 3. To evaluate the opinion of occupational therapy students about the quality of studies and the possibilities of its improvement in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Research methodology and subjects. A quantitative study was applied, and an anonymous online questionnaire created by the author was used to collect the data. The study involved 78 students of the occupational therapy study program with an average age of 21.12 ± 3.29 years. Research results: Almost two thirds of the 62.8% of the study participants intend to work as occupational therapists after completing their occupational therapy studies. The majority (60.3%) students' occupational therapists expect to be employed in Lithuania and only 8% of the students who participated in the study are considering emigration. In order to find out what would encourage occupational therapy students to go to work abroad, higher wages were found to be a driver of emigration. More than half (51.3 per cent) of respondents report being more satisfied than dissatisfied with occupational therapy studies during this pandemic period, and also more than half (52.6 per cent) of the students in the study are willing to continue their studies in the field of rehabilitation sciences. Students are most satisfied with the content of distance lectures and practical works taught and receive feedback from teachers when assessing the study process. The vast majority also agree that higher education institutions organise projects and conferences to improve students' knowledge and provide students with easily accessible access to scientific literature databases and higher education libraries. The majority (66.7%) of students suggest that nothing should be changed in the course of the study process, and the students who submitted proposals most emphasize the need for contact classes, teacher activity, measures to ensure students' academic integrity and the question of adjusting the cost of studies.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas. Dabartinė COVID-19 pandemija turi visuotinį poveikį sveikatai, ekonomikai ir švietimui, visame pasaulyje (Levine, Rathmell, 2020). Lyginant tradicinio ir nuotolinio mokymosi efektyvumą, dauguma studentų nurodo, kad akis į akį kontaktas su dėstytoju yra svarbus veiksnys mokymuisi, kurio trūksta nuotolinio mokymosi metu (Adnan, Anwar 2020). Tyrimo problema. Kokios ergoterapijos studentų karjeros galimybės COVID-19 pandemijos sąlygomis? Tyrimo objektas. Studentai studijuojantys ergoterapijos studijų programą Kauno ir Vilniaus kolegijose, Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų ir Vilniaus universitetuose. Tyrimo tikslas. Įvertinti ergoterapijos studentų karjeros galimybes COVID-19 pandemijos sąlygomis. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Atskleisti ergoterapijos studentų karjeros galimybių lūkesčius COVID-19 pandemijos sąlygomis. 2. Identifikuoti ergoterapijos studentų karjeros planus ir juos lemiančius veiksnius. 3. Įvertinti ergoterapijos studentų nuomonę apie studijų kokybę ir jos gerinimo galimybes COVID-19 pandemijos sąlygomis. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji. Taikomas kiekybinis tyrimas, duomenims surinkti buvo naudojama autorės sukurta anoniminė internetinė anketa. Tyrime dalyvavo 78 ergoterapijos studijų programos studentai, kurių amžiaus vidurkis 21,12±3,29 metai. Tyrimo rezultatai: Beveik du trečdaliai 62,8 proc. tyrimo dalyvių, baigę ergoterapijos studijas, ketina dirbti ergoterapeutais. Didžioji dalis (60,3 proc.) studentų ergoterapeutais tikisi įsidarbinti Lietuvoje ir tik 8 proc. tyrime dalyvavusių studentų svarsto emigracijos galimybę. Siekiant išsiaiškinti, kas ergoterapijos studentus skatintų išvykti dirbti į užsienio šalis nustatyta, kad didesnis atlyginimas yra emigraciją skatinantis veiksnys. Daugiau kaip pusė (51,3 proc.) respondentų nurodo, kad yra labiau patenkinti, nei nepatenkinti ergoterapijos studijomis šiuo pandemijos laikotarpiu ir taip pat daugiau kaip pusė (52,6 proc.) tyrime dalyvavusių studentų yra nusiteikę tęsti studijas reabilitacijos mokslų kryptyje. Studentai vertindami studijų procesą labiausiai patenkinti dėstomų nuotolinių paskaitų ir praktinių darbų turiniu ir sulaukiamu atgaliniu ryšiu iš dėstytojų. Taip pat didžioji dauguma sutinka, kad aukštosios mokyklos organizuoja projektus ir konferencijas studentų žinių gilinimui ir suteikia studentams lengvai prieinamas prieigas prie mokslinės literatūros duomenų bazių ir aukštosios mokyklos bibliotekos. Dauguma (66,7 proc.) studentų siūlo nieko nekeisti studijų proceso vykdyme, o pasiūlymus pateikę studentai labiausiai pabrėžia kontaktinių užsiėmimų, dėstytojų aktyvumo, studentų akademinio sąžiningumo užtikrinimo priemonių poreikį ir studijų kainos koregavimo klausimą.	en_US
