dc.description Relevance of the topic: Social workers are not always working in the areas covered by social work education programs (Encyclopedia of social work, 2008). One such work area is the activity of a social worker with persons with a disability who suffer from bullying. Researchers and practitioners investigating the causes of bullying, analyzing their forms and consequences, states that the problem of bullying is relevant worldwide, among all social groups (Educational Problem Analysis, 2014). Purpose of the research: To determine the activity of a social worker in the day center with people with a disability who suffer from bullying. Research tasks: 1. Describe the activities of a social worker in a day center with people with disabilities. 2. Give the concept of bullying. 3. To reveal the activities of a social worker in the day center with people with a disability who suffer from bullying. Object of the research: The activity of a social worker in a day center with persons with a disability who suffers from bullying. Research issue: what activities are carried out by a social worker in a day center with people with a disability who experience bullying? Researched participants: 3 social workers working in the day center. Research methods: Theoretical: Analysis of scientific literature. Qualitative study: Semi-structured interview. Findings of the research: The results of the research revealed that a social worker working at the day center provides social services to people with disabilities, observes and recognizes bullying. The responses of participants in this research indicate that bullying is a recurring act and an offensive behavior. Persons with disabilities are bullied due to: illness, emotional changes, and the formed character. Learned helplessness, aggressiveness are the consequences of bullying suffered by people with disabilities. Social workers have identified that they are able to understand and assess the capabilities of a person with disabilities, teaches people with disabilities to recognize their feelings. Social workers, during the interview, emphasized that there were no courses and seminars on bullying, but they are trying to improve during group activities. en

Viena iš tokių veiklų tai socialinio darbuotojo veikla su negalią turinčiais asmenimis, patiriančiais patyčias. Mokslininkai ir praktikai, tyrinėjantys patyčių atsiradimo priežastis, analizuojantys jų formas ir pasekmes, teigia, kad patyčių problema yra aktuali visame pasaulyje, tarp visų socialinių grupių (Švietimo problemos analizė, 2014). en_US
