dc.description	The exhibit chosen for my final project belongs to the Lithuanian Folk Museum. According to the data available to the museum, the table was made around 1910. Birch, spruce and ash wood were used for the table, and shellac polish was used for the coating. The exhibit was unsuitable for display due to its poor condition and was therefore kept in storage. The table was dirty, had many stains of unknown origin, coating was poorly preserved, and its construction was unstable. Also, the furniture was affected by entomological pests and some household repairs were once performed. Aim of the project is to perform conservation and restoration works for the exhibit. Before starting conservation and restoration, it is necessary to start preparing documentation: perform furniture style and historical analysis, fill in the catalog data of the object, assess its condition by identifying defects and their causes, perform visual and chemical examinations and create a coherent restoration program. Every restoration work process must be photographed and uploaded to the furniture passport as a proof of the completed steps. After completing all stages of the conservation and restoration work program, the object will become suitable for display in the museum.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Mano baigiamajam darbui pasirinktas eksponatas priklauso Lietuvos liaudies buities muziejui. Pagal muziejaus turimus duomenis stalas pagamintas apie 1910 m. Jam naudota beržo, eglės ir uosio mediena, o dangai buvo naudojama šelako politūra. Eksponatas, dėl savo prastos būklės buvo netinkamas ekspozicijai, todėl buvo saugomas saugykloje. Stalas buvo labai purvinas, turėjo daug neaiškios kilmės dėmių, prastai išsilaikiusi danga, jo konstrukcija buvo nestabili, baldas buvo paveiktas entomologinių kenkėjų, kažkada buvo atliktas buitinis remontas. Darbo tikslas – eksponatui atlikti konservavimo ir restauravimo darbus. Prieš pradedant konservuoti ir restauruoti reikia pradėti ruošti dokumentaciją: atlikti baldo stiliaus bei istorinę analizę, užpildyti kataloginius objekto duomenis, įvertinti jo būklę nustatant defektus ir jų atsiradimo priežastis, atlikti vizualius ir cheminius tyrimus ir sudaryti nuoseklią restauravimo darbų programą. Kiekvieną restauravimo darbo procesą būtina fotografuoti ir nuotraukas įkelti į baldo pasą kaip atliktų etapų įrodymą. Atlikus visus konservavimo ir restauravimo darbų programos etapus objektas taps tinkamas eksponavimui muziejuje.	en_US
