Santrauka:
Šiame baigiamajame darbe lyginamos dvi išimamųjų dantų protezų konstrukcijos: metalinis lanko atraminis dantų protezas ir termoplastinis dvigubai presuotas lankinis dantų protezas. Lyginimas vyksta remiantis dviem svarbiausiais protezų kokybės aspektais: funkcionalumu ir estetika. Analizuojant išskiriami šių dviejų protezų privalumai bei trūkumai, trumpai aprašoma kiekvieno jų gamyba ir įvertinamos konstrukcijų panaudojimo galimybės
Description:
Viktorija Berniūtė (study program of Dental Technology) has written the final thesis under the title “Comparative Evaluation based on Functionality and Aesthetics aspects of Mandibular Metal and Thermoplastic Double Pressed Partial Removable Dental Prostheses”. Scientific adviser lect. Audrius Kavaliauskas. Kaunas College, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Oral Health, Kaunas; 2018.
The final thesis analyzes mandibular metal and thermoplastic double pressed partial removable dental prostheses. The prostheses are valued based on the most important aspects of quality: functionality ant aesthetics. The analysis compares the advantages and disadvantages of both prosthesis. The final thesis have described the process of manufacturing and have evaluated both prostheses opportunities for application.
The final thesis aim is to evaluate metal and thermoplastic double pressed partial removable dental prostheses based on functionality and aesthetics. Tasks: 1. to describe advantages and disadvantages of metal and thermoplastic double pressed partial removable dental prostheses. 2. To manufacture metal and thermoplastic double pressed partial removable dental prostheses, evaluate the opportunities of functionality and aesthetics restoration by these prostheses for patient.
The final paper presents the analysis of scientific and professional literature and the manufacturing of metal and thermoplastic double pressed partial removable dental prosthesis, evaluate the opportunities of functionality and aesthetics restoration by these prostheses for different clinical situation.
Modern dentistry seeks to ensure maximum compatibility of aesthetics, function and hygiene. To achieve this, not only metal but also thermoplastic partial removable dental prostheses are used. Sometimes it is difficult to decide which prosthesis suits the best for patient. Therefore after having analyzed different chemical and physical properties and taking it into account the clinical situation, patient’s preferences and habits, the most suitable prosthetics option can be selected.
