dc.description	Relevance of the research: the chosen topic of the work is relevant, because parents raising a child with cerebral palsy need mutual help, which can be provided by various informal, often parent-created help groups, and which can be directed by social workers in their activities. According to official data, almost 15 thousand people are growing in Lithuania. children with disabilities (“Statistics and Dynamics of Disability”, Ministry of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania, 2019). Research problem: the problem of this work is the need for social worker-organized self-help activities for families raising a child with cerebral palsy, adaptation and reconciliation of other children with disabilities in the family, as well as uncertainty and lack of communication with members of mutual aid groups. The object of the research: the activities of a social worker in organizing mutual assistance for families raising a child with cerebral palsy. The aim of the research: to reveal the activities of a social worker by organizing mutual assistance for families raising a child with cerebral palsy. Objectives of the research: 1. To present the concept of cerebral palsy. 2. To single out the problems that arise for families raising a child with cerebral palsy. 3. Methods of social worker's activity in organizing mutual assistance for families raising a child with cerebral palsy. 4. To identify the activities of a social worker by organizing mutual assistance for families raising a child with cerebral palsy. Research methodology and subjects: literature analysis, qualitative research analysis. Families raising a child with cerebral palsy. Results of the empirical study: a qualitative study revealed that the activities of a social worker in organizing mutual assistance for families raising a child with cerebral palsy are insufficient. Some families lack the information provided by the social worker about the services and self-help groups and their activities; they question the importance and benefits of mutual assistance groups, as they have very little information about mutual assistance itself and the ability to help others. Families face a variety of problems working with a social worker. Many families lack communication with both the social worker and other families raising a disabled child.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Tyrimo aktualumas: pasirinkta darbo tema yra aktuali, nes tėvams, auginantiems cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką, reikalinga savitarpio pagalba, kurią gali suteikti įvairios formalios ir neformalios, dažnai pačių tėvų sukurtos pagalbos grupės. Tyrimo problema: kokias veiklas turi vykdyti socialinis darbuotojas, organizuojant savitarpio pagalbą šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. Tyrimo objektas: socialinio darbuotojo veiklos, organizuojant savitarpio pagalbą šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. Tyrimo tikslas: atskleisti socialinio darbuotojo veiklas, organizuojant savitarpio pagalbą šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Pateikti cerebrinio paralyžiaus sampratą. 2. Išskirti problemas, kylančias šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. 3. Apžvelgti socialinio darbuotojo veiklos metodus, organizuojant savitarpio pagalbą šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. 4. Identifikuoti socialinio darbuotojo veiklas, organizuojant savitarpio pagalbą šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: literatūros analizė, kokybinio tyrimo analizė. Šeimos auginančios cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką. Empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: Kokybinis tyrimas atskleidė, kad socialinio darbuotojo veiklos, organizuojant savitarpio pagalbą šeimoms, auginančioms cerebriniu paralyžiumi sergantį vaiką, informantų nuomone yra nepakankamos. Daliai šeimų trūksta socialinio darbuotojo teikiamos informacinės veiklos: tiek apie socialines paslaugas, tiek apie savitarpio pagalbos grupių veiklą. Šeimos abejoja savitarpio pagalbos grupių svarba ir nauda, kadangi turi labai mažai informacijos apie pačią savitarpio pagalbą ir galimybę padėti kitiems. Informantai pasigenda socialinių darbuotojų konsultacinės veiklos, apie savitarpio pagalbos grupių svarbą, sprendžiant jų šeimos psichosocialines problemas ir atrandant savirealizacijos galimybes.	en_US
