dc.description	The relevance of the topic: Alcohol addiction in Lithuania and around the world poses a significant threat to the well-being of families, society, and the health of individuals addicted to alcohol (Schifren, 2003). Alcohol is the most widely used drug in the world and one of the most easily available ones to consumers (Bulotaitė, 2009). Social workers work with addictions, but it is not clear what challenges they face, what kind of working methods they use in practice, what functions and roles they usually perform when working with these people, how they solve problems in practice, what results they achieve in practical activity and what perspectives they see when working and providing help for women addicted to alcohol. The problem of the research: What difficulties do social workers face when working with alcohol-addicted women? The object of the thesis: Challenges of social workers working with alcohol-addicted women. Aim of the research: To reveal the challenges experienced by social workers when working with alcohol-addicted women. Tasks of the research: 1. To define the concept of alcohol addiction. 2. To describe the causes and statistics of women alcoholism. 3. To describe the activities of social workers working with alcohol-addicted women. 4. To determine the challenges of social workers when working with alcohol-addicted women. Methodology and subjects of the research: Qualitative research, social workers. Results of the empirical research: The study highlighted the difficulties faced by social workers with women with alcohol dependence: at the beginning of the help process (connecting and motivating clients, gaining client trust), in the middle of the help process (providing individual and group counseling and making positive changes in clients ’lives, applying knowledge and skills in practice, emotional fatigue) and at the end of the help process (expectations of clients and their relatives, achievement of results).	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: Priklausomybė nuo alkoholio Lietuvoje ir visame pasaulyje kelia didelę grėsmę šeimų, visuomenės gerovei bei asmenų priklausomų nuo alkoholio sveikatai (Schifren, 2003). Alkoholis – plačiausiai pasaulyje vartojama narkotinė medžiaga ir viena iš lengviausiai prieinamų vartotojams (Bulotaitė, 2009). Tyrimo problema: Kokius sunkumus patiria socialiniai darbuotojai, dirbdami su priklausomybę nuo alkoholio turinčiomis moterimis? Tyrimo objektas: Socialinių darbuotojų sunkumai, dirbant su priklausomybę nuo alkoholio turinčiomis moterimis. Tyrimo tikslas: Atskleisti socialinių darbuotojų patiriamus sunkumus, dirbant su priklausomybę nuo alkoholio turinčiomis moterimis. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Apibrėžti priklausomybės nuo alkoholio sampratą. 2. Aprašyti moterų alkoholizmo priežastis bei statistiką. 3. Apibūdinti socialinių darbuotojų veiklą dirbant su priklausomybę nuo alkoholio turinčiomis moterimis. 4. Nustatyti socialinių darbuotojų sunkumus, dirbant su priklausomybę nuo alkoholio turinčiomis moterimis. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: Kokybinis tyrimas, socialiniai darbuotojai. Empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: Tyrimo metu išryškėjo, kokius sunkumus socialiniai darbuotojai su priklausomybę nuo alkoholio turinčiomis moterimis patiria: pagalbos proceso pradžioje (užmezgant ryšį ir motyvuojant klientes, įgyjant klienčių pasitikėjimą), pagalbos proceso viduryje (teikiant individualias ir grupines konsultacijas ir siekiant teigiamų pokyčių klienčių gyvenime, taikant žinias ir gebėjimus praktikoje, emocinis pervargimas) ir pagalbos proceso pabaigoje (lūkesčiai klientėms ir jų artimiesiems, rezultatų pasiekimas).	en_US
