dc.description	Relevance of theme - this relevance of theme is based on the fast aging of society, increasing demand of mediation. That is why important to reveal the activity of mediation and offer the social service for the elderly and old people in their home. The aim of work – to reveal the activity and mediation of social worker offering the social service for the elderly and old people in their home. The tasks of the work : 1. Define the psychosocial problems which are among the elderly and old people. 2. Describe the social services which are offering for the elderly and old people in their home. 3. Explain theoretically the activity and mediation of the social worker offering the social services. 4.Identify the activity and mediation of social worker offering the social services for the elderly and old people in their home. The method of research – quantitative, descriptive research; questionnaire in writing; method of unconditional purposive, comfortable selection. Questioned 30 social workers. Conclusions of research: according to the information of the accomplished research, the social workers often mediate among old people and the medical workers. They help managing documents between the old people and their relatives. The basic work which the social workers do is the conversation between the old people and their relatives about the demanding of the social services. The problems which named the respondents are passivity, the lack of motivation, the lack of communication and the passivity of some institutions. A lot of respondents claimed that there is necessary help for these areas as: training of the better mediation and seminars. During the research it became clear that the activity of mediation for the elderly and old people is very necessary.	en
