dc.description	Karolina Užkurytė (Dental Care Education Program) conducted a study on „Causes of the dissatisfaction of a patient's smile aesthetics“. Study leader is lecturer Algė Miliukienė. Kauno Kolegija/ University of Applied Sciences, Oral Health Cathedral. Kaunas; 2018. Recently, has increased the focus on facial esthetics. According to Sriphadungporn (2017) it is indicator of social value. Numerous factors, causing discontent yours of smile are related with dental esthetics, such as the color and the shape of the teeth and the shape of the dental arch. Talic and others (2013) claims, that facial attractiveness is defined by the smile of an individual, This fact leads to changes in patients' esthetic needs and consequence of dental treatment priority (Samorodnitzky-Naveh and others, 2007). The main job of this study is to reveal the causes of the dissatisfaction of a patient's smile aesthetics. The goals of the study: 1. Theoretically discuss thecauses of the dissatisfaction of a patient's smile aesthetics. 2. To describe possible ways of improving the aesthetic of a smile. 3. Reveal the cause of the dissatisfaction of a patient's smile aesthetics, on the basis of their opinion. Working methods: analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire and statistical analysis. A quantitative study by a questionnaire was chosen to reveal the cause of the dissatisfaction of a patient's smile aesthetics. The study was conducted during the period of February 1 and April 15 in 2018 and study involved 158 respondents. The study participants were selected by accidental sampling. The questionnaire consisted of 19 questions. A statistical analysis of data was performed using MS Excel 2010 software. Study showed that poor oral health, have negative impact on the lives of individuals. Dissatisfaction with the smile at the loss of teeth in the aesthetic areas, color changes of the teeth, teeth size discrepancies, high smile lines, crooked teeth or diastems, people feel inadequate, unhappy, unpleasant feelings, resulting in reduced contact, going through the an unpleasant reactions of the others, it affects the of self-esteem, which that affect gets unwillingness to smile.	en
dc.description.abstract	Baigiamąjį darbą sudaro įvadas- atskleidžiamas tikslas, darbo uždaviniai, temos aktualumas, tyrimo metodai ir imtis; literatūros analizė- ją sudaro du poskyriai, pirmame aptariamos šypsenos estetika nepasitenkinimo priežastys ir antrame poskyryje pateikiami bei aprašomi šypsenos išvaizdai skirti gerinimo būdai-odontologinės procedūros; empirinis tyrimas- šioje dalyje analizuojami anketų rezultatai ir aptariami bei apibendrinami gauti duomenys.	en_US
