| dc.description | Final work goal – identify oral care product influence to oral health in patients wearing fixed orthodontic appliances. The research objectives: 1. To define occlusion types and the variety of braces. 2. To disclose what the lack of oral hygiene causes for oral health in patients wearing braces. 3. To exclude oral products necessary for oral care during orthodontical treatment. 4. To evaluate oral health condition by oral care product choices in patients wearing braces. Preparation for this work and evaluation of oral care product influence to oral health in patients wearing braces, carried out in the scientific literature analysis and a quantitative study. Chosen data gathering method – a survey on the internet. The research took place in the year 2019 April 22 – 30 days, 204 respondents participated in the survey. Participants for research were selected by non probabilistic convenient sampling method. The instrument of research - questionnaire - consisted of 17 questions. The research showed that by the choice of a toothbrush the oral health condition is the most poor when using an electric toothbrush and the best when using a tuft toothbrush, also, the research results show that the expanding floss is the best for subgingival cleaning, resulting in rarely noticable gum inflammation and tartar. With the use of oral irrigator, soft and pigmented plaque is the most rarely seen, as well as enamel demineralization and caries but using only irrigator without any other interdental care products - most likely to accumulate tartar. When evaluating oral health according to the choice of toothpaste, one can conclude, that using antiinflammatory toothpaste has the greatest accumulation of plaque, enamel demineralization and caries, in contrast to the use of paste with fluoride, however, using anti-inflammatory toothpaste is the best health for periodontal compared to paste with fluoride. The result of the evaluation of the effect of the tongue cleanser on the oral health is that the use of this measure improves the whole oral health, except for the accumulation of pigmented plaque and the wounds in the mouth. Similarly, oral health using a mouthwash is practically better in all cases than those who do not use it. | dc.description.abstract | Domėjimasis dantų sąkandžio problemomis – plačiai paplitęs pasaulyje: Italijoje vidurinėje mokykloje buvo atliktas moksleivių sąkandžio tyrimas, kuris teigia, jog 63 proc. tiriamųjų turi sąkandžio anomalijų.(Ciuffolo ir kt., 2005), taip pat Uslu (2009) su savo bedraminčiais domėjosi ortodontinėmis anomalijomis ir nustatė, jog jų turi 40,3% tirtųjų pacientų, o atkreipiant dėmesį į ortodontinių anomalijų paplitimą Lietuvoje, Baubinienė (2010) atliktu tyrimu teigia, jog 2010 metais 10 – 11 metų vaikų tarpe sąkandžio anomalijos buvo paplitę 77 proc., o tarp 14 – 15 metų amžiaus - 62 proc. Kartu su netaisyklingo sąkandžio problema didėja ortodontinių prietaisų poreikis., tačiau ortodontinis gydymas naudojant fiksuotus prietaisus gali kelti potencialią riziką burnos sveikatai. Atkreipiant dėmesį į tai, jog sąkandžio problema pasaulyje išties yra didelė, šiame baigiamajame darbe siekta išsiaiškinti, kokios yra burnos priežiūros priemonių pasirinkimo sąsajos su pacientų, nešiojančių breketus, burnos sveikata. | en_US |
