dc.description	As medicine progresses, the possibilities of restoring lost teeth are also improving. More and more patients choose to restore defects in missing teeth using dental implants. Implants are being constantly improved, improving in the context of osteointegration and availability of the procedure of implantation. But with increasing demand, the chances of complications are increasing aswell. Inflammation caused by bacterial coating around the tissue covering the implant is called peri-implantitis. Individual oral hygiene and regularly done professional oral hygiene is crucial in order to prevent this disease. In this work, the concept of periodontal diseases in dental implants is described according to the formulated tasks, and the factors that determine their formation are analyzed by the concept of professional and individual oral hygiene of patients with dental implants.The aim of the quantitative research methodology (questionnaire survey) is to investigate patients perceptions of prophylaxis and treatment of peri-implantitis. The survey included 117 X patients of the clinic, who were provided with a formulated questionnaire based on ethical and moral principles, ensuring confidentiality. Analysis of research data revealed that the majority of respondents thinks that individual oral hygiene training in Clinic X is sufficiently informative and that most respondents is getting a procedure of professional oral hygiene on a regular basis, but lack knowledge about the importance of professional oral hygiene for peri-platitis prevention and early symptoms of this disease.	en_US
