dc.description Relevance of the thesis: According to the data of the Department of Statistics, in 2017, in Lithuania there were 242 thousand people with disabilities, of whom more than 60 were disabled. However, only a small part of public buildings and objects in the country are properly adapted for disabled people, especially those with a wheelchair (Vaicekauskienė, 2012). Obviously, access to health care for disabled patients is crucial, but access to health care, and in particular dental care, is still limited. The aim of the final work is to determine the adaptation of the environment to the physically disabled patients in the dentist's office Raised tasks: 1) Describe the concept of disability and its type; 2) To reveal the peculiarities of oral health care of persons with disabilities; 3) To discuss the peculiarities of ergonomic conditions of patients with disabilities in the dentist's office; 4) To reveal the adaptation of the environment of dental clinics to patients with physical disabilities. Research methodology: A quantitative study was conducted to assess the application of the environment to patients with physical disabilities in a dentist's office. The survey data were collected in a written survey by distributing paper questionnaires in a dental clinic and an online survey, when the questionnaires were collected by publishing its link on the Internet and on social websites. The survey instrument - the questionnaire - consisted of 26 questions (Annex 1). Statistical data analysis was performed using MS Excel 2010. Tables and graphs were also compiled using MS Excel 2010 program. The survey took place from 14 March to 20 April 2019. 158 respondents with physical disability participated in the survey. The participants of the study were selected in a non-probabilistic random sample. 6 Results and conclusions. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents (70.9%) had a severe degree of disability. The largest part of informants (43%) visit a dentist only once a year and 39.2% - when a toothache begins. One of the most common reasons for non-attendance or rare visits to a dentist (32.8%) is an inadequate environment in the office / clinic. The majority of respondents (46.6%) assessed the adaptation of patients' institutions to patients with special needs poorly. 38% of respondents indicated that there were no specially equipped places for the building of physically handicapped machines at the treatment facility, 22.9% said that persons with reduced mobility were not able to enter the institution independently due to unsuitable ramps for stairs / stairs; 54.4% of respondents noted that there were no sanitary facilities adapted for disabled people in the building. en_US
