dc.description	Dental assistants' knowledge about the allergic reactions caused by chemical materials in disposable safety devices. The concept of allergy is defined by different authors in their own way, suggesting that it is a phenomenal and multicoloured concept that can be viewed from different sides. The origins of allergic diseases are closely related to individual, family inclinations, work environment and occupation, as well as various other factors. The aim of the final thesis is to identify and describe the knowledge of a dentist assistant on allergic reactions caused by chemical material in disposable safety devices. Research objectives: 1. To describe allergies, types and origin; 2. To theoretically justify the possibilities of preventive methods to reduce the likelihood of allergic reactions associated with disposable protective equipment used by a doctor's dentist; 3. To reveal the knowledge of dentist assistants about chemicals that cause allergic reactions caused by chemical materials in disposable protective equipment. In the final thesis, a thorough analysis of scientific and professional literature was carried out, according to which a questionnaire was formed. In order to reveal the knowledge of dentist assistants about the substances present in the disposable protective equipment causing allergic reactions, a quantitative study was carried out using a research tool – questionnaire. It consisted of two parts, the first of which was addressed to all respondents in the study to find out the respondents' knowledge of allergenic chemicals, social demographic indicators; the second part was for respondents with symptoms of allergic nature. The survey was conducted from 4th of April to 30th of April. 157 respondents participated in the study. A statistical package for social science was used to confirm / deny a statistically significant link. The tables and graphs presented in the final work were made using Microsoft Excel. The study showed that respondents have general knowledge about single-agent substances that cause allergic reactions (60.6%). No statistically significant relationship between the type of gloves used and the knowledge of the chemical compounds present in the disposable protective equipment was found.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Baigiamojo darbo tema: Gydytojo odontologo padėjėjų žinios apie cheminių medžiagų, esančių vienkartinėse apsauginėse priemonėse sukeliamas alergines reakcijas. Tyrimo tikslas - nustatyti ir aprašyti gydytojo odontologo padėjėjų žinias apie cheminių medžiagų, esančių vienkartinėse apsauginėse priemonėse, sukeliamas alergines reakcijas, kadangi alerginių reakcijų susirgimai stabiliai didėja pasauliniu mastu. Gydytojo odontologo padėjėjai bei kiti medicinos darbuotojai kasdien susiduria su įvairių rūšių alergenais: vieni yra apsauginėse vienkartinėse veido kaukėse, kiti - apsauginėse vienkartinėse pirštinėse. Tyrime taikytu metodu – anketine apklausa – buvo siekama nustatyti ir aprašyti gydytojo odontologo padėjėjų žinias apie vienkartinėse apsauginėse priemonėse esančius alergenus. Atliktas tyrimas parodė, jog gydytojo odontologo padėjėjai turi bendrines žinias apie alergenus, esančius vienkartinėse apsauginėse priemonėse	en_US
