dc.description	Description of the professional BA thesis. The final thesis examines the relevant topics of natural and cultural tourism resources in Pasvalys district municipality: current situation reveals the obstacles and presents possibilities by using evaluation criteria. As Pasvalys district municipality does not have a large number of tourist flows, due to the misapplication of natural and cultural resources to the needs of tourists, in order to increase the attractiveness of Pasvalys district municipality for tourists, it is necessary to come up with reasonable ways of using tourist resources, which requires an assessment. The main problem of the professional BA thesis – Pasvalys district municipality has enough natural and cultural tourism resources. However, not all resources are properly adapted to tourism. The aim of the professional BA thesis - to evaluate the natural and cultural resources of tourism in Pasvalys district municipality. Objectives of the (professional BA thesis): 1. Introduce the concept of natural and cultural tourism resources. 2. Analyse the natural and cultural resources of Pasvalys region tourism. 3. To carry out a study on the adaptation of natural and cultural resources to tourism. 4. To present the development of resources for tourism development. Methods of the professional BA thesis – analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire, interview, SWOT analysis. The structure – the thesis consists of three chapters. The theoretical part of the work presents theoretical aspects of natural and cultural tourism resources: conception of natural and cultural tourism resources, typology of natural and cultural tourism resources, evaluation criteria of natural and cultural tourism resources. The analytical part of the work analyses natural and cultural tourism resources of Pasvalys District Municipality. The analysis of the situation in Pasvalys region, questionnaire, interview surveys, and SWOT analysis are conducted and presented. Part of the project work is sharing new tourism suggestions for Pasvalys region's natural and cultural resources, which are based on the results of the research and SWOT analysis. Propositions are targeted at solving the problems encountered in natural and cultural tourism resources in Pasvalys city and district, to emend the shortcomings of tourist resources and to take into account the opportunities for improvement. The results/conclusions. The analysis of the tourism situation and the carried-out research revealed that Pasvalys region is rich in natural and cultural resources, but not all places are visited by tourists. A major problem is the underdeveloped tourism infrastructure and the inadequate use of tourism resources. In addition, the research has revealed the possibilities for further development of tourism and improvement of tourism situation in Pasvalys region. These include renovation of estates, installation of bicycle paths and improvement of other attraction objects. However, there are some threats, such as the lack of money, which hinder the further development of tourism resources. So, after the research has been done, it can be said that tourism resources in Pasvalys region are recommended to use more advertisements, build more links to tourist attractions and provide more attractive entertainment.	en
dc.description.abstract	Vykstant globalizacijos procesui plečiasi ir turizmas. Žmonės vis daugiau nori keliauti, pamatyti, atrasti. Todėl, turizmo industrija kiekvienoje vietovėje stengiasi pritraukti vis daugiau keliautojų siūlydami naujas paslaugas, kurioms sukurti reikalingi turistiniai ištekliai. Ne išimtis ir Pasvalio kraštas. Pasvalio rajono savivaldybė nepasižymi gausiais turistų srautais, viena to priežasčių yra nepakankamai išvystytas gamtinių bei kultūrinių išteklių pritaikymas turistų poreikiams. Norint didinti Pasvalio rajono savivaldybės patrauklumą ir prieinamumą turistams, būtina sugeneruoti tinkamus gamtinių bei kultūrinių išteklių panaudojimo būdus. Tačiau, visų pirma, norint panaudoti turizmo išteklius juos reikia tinkamai įvertinti.	en_US
