dc.description	Nowadays tourism takes an important part in the economic world. People are choosing various forms of tourism and all of them have an impact to the economic’s of the country. However, after analyzing scientistic articles, researches and surveys, was noticed that the most commonly chosen form of the tourism is an active tourism comparing to the passive one. Accordingly, it would be rightto say that in order to improve economic situation in the country with a help of tourism, the attention should be payed to the active tourism promotion and developing in the country. Bachelor thesis is made from the summaries in both lithuanian and english languages, vocabulary of the concepts, introduction, three main chapters which are divided into subsections, conclusions, literature and other information sources. The main problem which is analyzed in the thesis is the seasonality. The biggest part of active tourism forms are performed during the spring and summer period when the weather is warm, this is why part of the companies which are engaged into active tourism activities face seasonality problem. One more problem which is revealed in the thesis - not all natural resources existing in the area of Kaunas city are used for the active tourism. There are plenty of woods and artificial water pools, which could possibly be used for active tourism activities In the city and area around. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of active tourism development in Kaunas city and district. Methods used in the work, such as the analysis of scientific literature, are subjected to a quantitative study using the questionnaire survey method. A qualitative study is conducted using the interview method and SWOT analysis. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the concept of active tourism, the types and forms of tourism and active tourism, describes the most popular forms of active tourism, researches performed research. The practical part of the work presents and discusses the results of quantitative and qualitative research and provides recommendations for the development of cataract tourism in Kaunas city and district. There are many types of active tourism, and water entertainment is popular in Kaunas and the area: kayaks, waves, paddles, swimming pools. Research on active tourism in Kaunas city and district found that finding information on active tourism is difficult and often not searched on the internet at all. Most of the tourists are highlighted by the lack of active tourism activities: a ski trail, a water park and bicycle rental points. The most frequent problem for companies active in active curbing is seasonality, intense competition and changing visitor habits. The paper contains recommendations for the development of active tourism in Kaunas city and district: installation of ski slopes, installation of land and water bicycle rental points, promotion of existing activities in fairs, advertising stands and daily newspapers. It is also recommended to utilize all natural resources of Kaunas District for active tourism activities.	en
dc.description.abstract	Laisvalaikis ir poilsis yra būtinas kiekvieno žmogaus gyvenime. Turizmas yra viena iš pagrindinių laisvalaikio praleidimo formų, kuri taip pat svarbi ir šiuolaikinės pasaulio ekonomikos dalis. Aktyvusis turizmas – viena iš populiariausių turizmo rūšių, apimanti daug veiklų. Ne tik užsienio šalyse, bet ir Lietuvoje atsiranda vis daugiau slidinėjimo trasų, sporto ir sveikatingumo centrų, organizuojami įvairūs ištvermės žygiai ir įvairių išbandymų bei nuotykių turinčios išvykos. Kauno mieste ir rajone yra plačiai išvystytas aktyvusis turizmas, tačiau naujų veiklų, nepriklausomų nuo oro sąlygų ir sezoniškumo bei naujos idėjos ir infrastruktūros plėtra turėtų būti savivaldybės ir privačių investuotojų prioritetas, norint plėtoti aktyvųjį turizmą.	en_US
