dc.description The relevance of the topic: It is understandable that people want to fix all skin imperfections. Problem is that primary rash elements passes with time but some of the residual effects lasts very long time. Most noticeable are scars. They make skin surface very uneven, bumpy and look unaesthetic. Gozali and Zhou (2015) says that 95% patients who have acne suffers from scars left after inflammatory lesions. The prevalence of this disease is high - it affects 80-90% teenagers. In older age prevalence of this disease is much less frequent – of 25-34 years old adults only 8% have acne (Bhate, Williams, 2012). The second major complication of acne is a post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Even though they don’t harm danger for human health most often there are various psychological problems because a person feels dissatisfied with his appearance, is shy, he feels duty to use makeup. Therefore, despite the fact that over time the hyperpigmented spots located in the epidermis disappear along with the regenerative skin, it is desirable to accelerate this process as much as possible (Zawar and etc., 2015). All measures used to reduce acne residual effects are designed to make a person feel prettier, more confident and able to fit into modern beauty standards in which even porcelain skin has always been an aspiration. Purpose: Reveal women's opinion on the effects of chemical peelings on the skin by correcting acne residuals Goals: 1. Describe acne residual effects etiopathogenesis 2. Theoreticaly substantiate about chemical peelings effects for skin 3. To reveal the subjective view of women about the effectiveness of chemical peelings in reducing acne residual effects Research methods: Scientific and professional literature analysis in the theoretical part and quantitative written survey in the empirical part. Results: Of all the respondents, 87% has or had acne or pimples, so they had a reason to visit a cosmetologist and purposefully try chemical peelings to solve their problem. Most of the respondents were combinated skin owners. 27% of the respondents has or had acne, but no scars or hyperpigmentation were left. For many, a total of 60% of respondents have left residual effects. However, only 19% go to the specialist to remove them. Other main reasons why women visit cosmetologists include rashes, contaminated, oily, enlarged skin, preventive maintenance of good skin condition. By subjective women opinion the main effects of chemical peelings were that chemical peelings reduce the size of the scars, reduce their depth, improve skin condition, reduce the amount of acne, skin contamination, pigmentation spots, purify the pores, make the skin shine, generally improve the appearance of the skin, and the procedure is painless, maintained good condition and clean skin. 74% of the surveyed people tried chemical peelings to reduce one or another problem of residual effects with these procedures. Others were bothered to try the procedure because price is too high for them, or just did not feel need. 83% said they have tried the chemical peeling procedure. Usually on the advice of a beautician or because they searched for information themselves. Even 77% of women who have tested chemical peelings have replied that the effect of chemical scrubbing procedures has increased the satisfaction of their appearance. 88% of those who tried chemical scrubbing, would like to do it again because of a good results. Conclusions: 1. Most commonly acne scars appear because of a deep inflammation in the skin. Atrophic scars occur after inflammation because of a tissue defect, after which local fibrous tissue fibers spin down the surface layers in time. Especially skin is traumatized during acne pimples popping which can cause a secondary infection and that will cause scars to go deeper and bigger. Keloidal scars are bumpy and hard. It is formed after cystic or nodular acne in the case of increased collagen production. Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation occurs when, due to skin rash, it starts to produce more melanin at the location of inflammation. This hyperpigmentation is seen as brown and red spots, which remain when the inflammatory element is healed. 2. Acidic peelings stimulate collagen repair in the skin, break the horny layer surface cells connection, kills the bacteria, stimulate skin regeneration as it treats the skin as damage and strive to recover as soon as possible. The quality of the skin, the color of the skin, the texture of the skin, the thickness, sensitivity, the usual time of skin healing, and possible complications determine the depth to which we can damage the skin. The strength of the acid and the depth of penetration are determined by pH, concentration, exposure time, skin preparation, skin type and condition. 3. Three quarters of the respondents from all who have tested the chemical peelings have succeeded in reducing one or another problem of residual effects by these procedures. Even 33 of the 43 women who tested chemical peelings responded that the effect of chemical scrubbing procedures enhanced their satisfaction of appearance. The respondents claimed that chemical scrubs reduce the size of the scars, improve their skin condition, reduce acne, skin contamination, pigmentation spots, purify the pores, make the skin shine, improve the overall appearance of the skin, the procedure is painless. en
