The relevance of the topic. Developed cognitive competence can ensure success in school, studies, etc. The importance of developing cognitive competences for children is emphasized by many scientists, but there is a lack of information on how to develope pre – school age children cognitive competence in art activities. The problem. Insufficient use of cognitive competence development opportunities in art activities. The research object – pre – school age children knowledge competence development opportunities in art activities. The aim of the research – reveale pre – school age children knowledge competence development opportunities in art activities. Research tasks: 1. Analyze the possibilities of developing pre – school age children cognitive competences in art activities from the theoretical point of view. 2. Explore the possibilities of developing pre – school age children cognitive competences in art activities in pre – school education institutions. 3. Prepare an educational project in which children could develop cognitive competence in art activities. The research methods: scientific literature and documents analysis, written survey (questionnaire), verbal survey (interview). Conclusions: cognitive competence includes the ability to experience the joy of new objects or phenomena, interest in the environment, the ability to analyze existing and understand new information. Empirical research revealed that although pre – school education institutions have created conditions for cognitive competences development in art activities, however, the application of art activities is uneven, there is a lack of time, not always successfully managed children’s behaviour, there is excessive number of children in groups. The project confirmed that cognitive competence can be successfully developed in art activities. |
