dc.description Freight services are faced with unforeseen events during its process. At moments like these it is very important to know how to solve problems in a timely manner. In 2017, “Jota” canceled a number of orders due to unforeseen situations. Since no methods are applied, in the final thesis they will be examined and applied to the most appropriate company cases. The main problem – cancelled orders due to unforeseen situations. Sometimes it is necessary to cancel an order due to unforeseen situations and the unsatisfactory way of handling the cargo. If the appropriate method was found, it would reduce the number of canceled orders, thus maintaining the company's reputation. The aim of the thesis – optimize order management strategy with respect to influential negative factors. Methods of the thesis – scientific literature analysis, structured interviews, electronic sources in databases, analysis of company documents. The structure – the first chapter describes the significance of the transportation process in the logistics chain, possible ways of managing distribution channels, and discusses the factors that influence the management of orders. The analytical part describes the characteristics of the company, indicates practical solutions of the company when dealing with unforeseen events. Based on real situations, the most appropriate methods are applied. The last section of the second chapter presents the research methodology, compares the respondents' answers and summarizes the results. Finally, the project section analyzes how the number of canceled orders changed in each month in 2017, furthermore the percentage of reasons was calculated, and the final proposal was made, suggesting which method should be used to reduce the number of canceled orders. The results – the analysis of the scientific literature was carried out, based on which negative factors, influencing the order management, were distinguished. The problems with which the company is confronted are highlighted. With the help of interviews and calculations it was distinguished which situation is most often repeated and an appropriate solution to this problem was applied. Short suggestions / recommendations – in order to reduce the problem of delay, the most suitable option would be to combine Kaizen Teian and Just In Time methods because the first method involves the entire process planning, and the second is focused on execution precisely in time and in the required quantities. en
dc.description.abstract Baigiamojo darbo pirmajame skyriuje aprašoma transportavimo proceso reikšmė logistikos grandinėje, paskirstymo kanalų valdymo būdai ir aptariami faktoriai įtakojantys užsakymų valdymą. Analitinėje darbo dalyje aprašoma įmonės charakteristika, nurodomi įmonės praktiniai sprendimo būdai kai susiduria su nenumatytais atvejais. Pagal realias situacijas, pritaikomi tinkamiausi metodai. Taip pat, pateikiama tyrimo metodika, sulyginami respondentų atsakymai bei apibendrinami rezultatai. Paskutinėje dalyje analizuojama kaip 2017 metais kiekvieną mėnesį keitėsi atšauktų užsakymų kiekis, skaičiuojami priežasčių procentai bei pateikiamas galutinis pasiūlymas, kokį metodą pritaikyti jog atšauktų užsakymų kiekis sumažėtų. en_US
