dc.description	The relevance of the topic – the relevance of the topic is based on the fact that the rapid aging of the population increases the need for socio-cultural services for the old and elderly people, therefore, it is necessary to analyze and solve the problems faced by the social worker in providing socio-cultural services to the old and elderly people. The aim of the thesis – to identify the problems faced by a social worker in providing socio-cultural services to the old and elderly people, who living in social care homes. The subject of the thesis – problems of social workers to provide socio-cultural services for old and elderly people. The research question – what problems does a social worker have providing socio-cultural services for old and elderly people who living in social care homes? Method of the research – quantitative, descriptive research,questionnaire. Thirty social workers were interviewed. Result of the research: the study of research data shows that the bigest problem of the most respondents in providing and organizing socio-cultural services is the older and elderly persons reluctance to participate in socio-cultural activities. A smaller part of respondents indicated that small spaces, lack of transport, are also important problems in providing and organizing socio-cultural services for the old and elderly people. Almost half of respondents indicated that they are experiencing problems in communicating, sharing information with colleagues, providing socio-cultural services for older and elderly persons. The results of the reacher revealed that the most popular activities in which old and elderly persons are engaged are art and cognitive activities, the problem is that other socio-cultural activities (leisure, hobbies, work, sports) are less popular for old and elderly persons. The biggest problem in motivating old and elderly persons for socio-cultural activities is the inability of old and elderly persons to participate in socio-cultural activities due to health problems. The results of the research revealed that old and elderly people are rarely involved in the activities of leisure, hobbies, work, sports, and that, according to the majority of respondents, old and elderly people are rarely involved because of health problems.	en
