dc.description This Bachelor‘s work called ,, Sharps injuries prevalence: of private and public institutions dental personnel comparative analysis‘‘ was made by Kristina Žukauskaitė (dental assistant study program). Work manager lecturer Margarita Žemaitė. Kaunas College, Medical faculty, The Oral Health Department. Kaunas, 2018. Purpose of thesis – identify dental workers, who are working in private and public dental offices, incurred by the prevalence of microtraumas and risks. Tasks of thesis: 1. Theoretically explain the causes of microtrauma, species and prevention. 2. Describe microtrauma impact on human health. 3. Identify the factors that determine the occurrence of microtrauma in dental staff workplace and attitude of the dental staff towards the management and prevention of microtrauma. 4. Identify and compare the prevalence of microtrauma, according to the workplace. This Bachlelor‘s work was made using these methods: based on analysis of the scientific literature and a written questionnaire. In order to determine the dental staff working in private and public dental institutions incurred by the prevalence of microtrauma and risks was conducted quantitative research, data analysis groups selected comparison method. The survey sample - independent. Data collection method - written survey. The study took place on January 15, 2018 - April 29, took part in the survey of dental health care professionals, including support staff. The participants selected occasional non stochastic sampling method. - survey, accounted for 26 issues anonymous. The results of the empirical research showed that 102 of the respondents who participated in the study, 86 had microtraumaticity, and only 30 reported an incident. Empirical conclusions: The results revealed that the majority of workers occurs microtraumas haste, carelessness and fatigue. The investigation showed that the prevalence of microtrauma in private dental offices is higher compared to the public dental institutions of microtrauma number. The findings revealed that the majority of respondents do not have vaccines against HBV, however, if their workplace equipped with free vaccinations, they tend to be vaccinated. With microtrauma registration procedure is not aware of a large part of the respondents. As one of the preventive measures respondents emit the appropriate number of working hours, which will pump up, workers are not microtrauma. en
