dc.description	Topic actuality. Homelessness is one of the most prominent forms of social exclusion, causing great harm to personal development, homeless people suffering from unemployment, inadequate finances, difficult to secure even physiological needs, resulting in demotivation, the use of intoxicants and the tendency to self-constructive behavior. In order to help homeless people to meet their vital needs and to achieve long-term goals for homelessness, it is necessary to clarify what kind of social services are for homeless and whether they are sufficient, their actuality, the difficulties and the working aspects of providing them. Aim of the work: to reveal the peculiarities of providing social services to homeless people. Object of work: provision of social services to homeless people. Research question: What are the peculiarities of providing social services to homeless people? Research Method: A qualitative study in a semi-structured interview. Research conclusion. The survey revealed that there is a lack of social workers, insufficient support for homeless people, and only counseling, mediation and representation. The long-term goals of tackling homelessness are not going to be achieved, and even resources for vital needs are not always sufficient. Social workers suffer from aggression from homeless people, are at risk of contracting various diseases, and lack of protective measures. Very different work of hostels and wards with homeless people, some social workers only advise and direct homeless to hostel where full range of services is already provided. One of the biggest obstacles in providing services to homeless people is the drugs and drinking and the lack of motivation, the will to change. The focus of social workers is on ensuring the necessary needs, the personal contribution to motivation and inspiration to changes not provided. Informers believe that new services for homeless people are needed for more serious changes, their inclusion in various employment initiatives, and projects for their short-term employment.	en
dc.description.abstract	Benamystė yra viena ryškiausių socialinės atskirties formų, padaroma didelė žala asmeninei raidai, benamiai kenčia nuo nedarbo, nepakankamų finansų, sunku užtikrinti net fiziologinius poreikius, ko pasekoje demotyvacija, svaigių medžiagų vartojimas ir polinkis į savidestruktyvų elgesį. Siekiant benamiams padėti užtikrinti gyvybinius poreikis bei keliant ilgalaikius tikslus benamystei spręsti būtina aiškintis, kokios yra benamiams orientuotos socialinės paslaugos, ar jų pakanka, koks jų efektyvumas, kokie sunkumai ir darbiniai aspektai iškyla socialiniams darbuotojams jas teikiant.	en_US
