dc.description	Relevance of the topic: Violence against women in the immediate environment is a topical issue for our society. Concerns about women who are subjected to violence are currently growing both in Lithuania and internationally. "Until recently, violence against women was a personal and family problem. However, the opinion has changed over the last few years. This problem is now seen as a public health problem and a violation of human rights. ”(Heise, Ellsberg and The Gottemoeller, 1999).problem of research is the usefulness of social services for women experiencing domestic violence. The object of the work is the usefulness of social services for women experiencing domestic violence. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the usefulness of social services to women who experience domestic violence. Research Methodology: A quantitative study was conducted in which 30 women were exposed to domestic violence. The survey was conducted in 2019. May. Structure of the final work: The first part of the final work analyzes the scientific literature examining the concept of violence against women in the near environment, the type of violence, the causes and consequences of their occurrence. The second part deals with the provision of social services for women experiencing domestic violence, investigating literature. Analyzing what services are provided to women who are subjected to domestic violence, the role of the social worker, the social work methods used to assist women experiencing domestic violence. The third part presents the results of a study on the usefulness of social services for women experiencing domestic violence. The results of the research “Utility of social services for women experiencing domestic violence” are presented. At the end of the thesis, the theoretical part of the analysis and the conclusions of the study and recommendations for social workers providing services to women who have experienced domestic violence are presented. Findings of the study: The survey data showed that the majority of respondents believe that the social services they receive have a positive impact on their future life. Data from the survey showed that more than half of the women who received social services were still satisfied. They said they had received the necessary help, had self-confidence, became more self-reliant, did not return to the perpetrator, stopped blaming themselves for the violence they had suffered, had a lot of knowledge about domestic violence, which led to their own problems.	en
dc.description.abstract	Smurtas prieš moteris artimoje aplinkoje – aktuali mūsų visuomenės problema. Susirūpinimas moterimis, kenčiančiomis prievartą, pastaruoju metu auga tiek Lietuvoje, tiek tarptautiniu mastu. „Dar visai neseniai smurtas prieš moterį buvo asmeninė bei šeimos problema. Tačiau per pastaruosius keletą metų nuomonė pasikeitė. Dabar į šią problemą žiūrima kaip į visuomeninę sveikatos problemą bei žmogaus teisių pažeidimą.“ (Heise, Ellsberg ir Gottemoeller, 1999).	en_US
