dc.description	Relevance of the research. In the 21-st century deprivation,like social exclusion and homelessness, has become a growing problem, In order to prevent homelessness and help those people,certaininstitutions have been established, where homeless people can get temporary overnight stay, or temporary accommodation. The growth in thenumberof homeless people has becomea frequent issue for discussion, like problems which they cause for society; even more often the reasons that causethe growth ofhomelessness are discussed. Even though the problem ofhomelessness is highly discussed, nobody talks enough about social workers’ activities in those institutions. Problem of the research: what social worker’s activities are while working with the recipients of services who live in homeless hostels. Work object: social worker’s activities while working with the recipients of services who live in homeless hostels. Research question: what is social worker’s activities while working with therecipients of services who live in homeless hostels? The methods of the research - qualitative method, semi – structured interview. The purpose of the interview is to find out a social worker while working with the recipients of services who live in homeless hostels. The findings of the research.A qualitative research was accomplished, during whichit was found out what social worker’s activities whileworking with recipients of services who live in homeless hostelswere. Three interviews were conducted with a total duration of 30 to 40 minutes. During the research it was found out that asocial worker performs these activities: social – emotional support, meeting of physical needs, accommodation, social skills support – meeting the needsof personal hygiene, information, counselling, mediation – representation.	en
dc.description.abstract	Šiais laikais benamystė yra itin sparčiai auganti ir skaudžiai mūsų visuomenę veikianti problema. Ją spręsti pasaulyje buvo bandoma įvairiais būdais. Tačiau bene labiausiai pasitvirtinęs būdas yra nakvynės namų steigimas. Apie nakvynės namų teikiamas paslaugas, bei naudą yra kalbama labai plačiai, tačiau apie tai kokia yra socialinio darbuotojo veikla dirbant su nakvynės namų paslaugų gavėjais kalbama labai mažai.	en_US
