Description:
The relevance of the topic. Folic acid is essential for the growth and necessary for the body, brain function, mental and emotional health. It is necessary for normal growth and development, reproduction during breastfeeding and nourishment, antibody formation, vital for cell division and protein synthesis. Soft lozenges are becoming increasingly important in the manufacture of oral medications and they are a suitable carrier for the chemical. The lozenges have a bright future to represent a way of delivering medication for local action and systemic use by mouth. Adopting soft , chewable pastilles as a dosage form is demanding among adults, especially children. The objective of research. To model chewable pastilles with folic acid based on gelatin and do biopharmaceutical research in vitro. Research tasks : 1. Select the composition of soft pastilles for the base and the appropriate concentration of folic acid. 2. Create an extemporaneous production scheme and evaluate the stability and quality of the manufactured product. 3. To determine the release of folic acid in a biopharmaceutical dissolution test in vitro. Methodology. In the theoretical research were analyzed various scientific sources, using Google Scholar, PubMed, EBSCO. In the empirical research, studies were performed using optical, visual, technology, potentiometric, gravimetric methods. Performed: extremporal technology scheme formation, pH values, organoleptic properties, stability, biopharmaceutical in vitro, spectrophotometric researches. Research results. In this reseach were modeled three series of chewable pastilles with different formulations and also was done a biopharmaceutical research. Based on the experiment, a scheme for the production of extemporal soft pastilles with folic acid also was done. The organoleptic properties of the lozenges, the value of the pH for the confirmation of the compatibility of the substances and their changes during the monitoring of stability were determined. The dissolution test showed release of folic acid within 60 min. and the influence of excipients on the release rate. Conclusion : 1. The base of soft lozenges is based on gelatin with auxiliary substances - correctors (glucose, ascorbic acid.). Folic acid concentration in one lozenge 4 mg. 2. The scheme for extemporaneous production and the composition of the chewable pastilles have ensured their stability for 30 days.
3. A biopharmaceutical study found that chewable lozenges are a possible carrier for folic acid. Folic acid from lozenges was released in 60 minutes, with no significant influence on relaxation.
