Studies have shown, that in collage student‘s diets consist of unhealthy dietary habits. Often in their diets lack vegetables, fruits, fish and other. Also in their diet consists of sweets, baked goods, fast food and other unhealthy foods. Other studies have shown that students tend to dislike their own body and uses variety of ways to control their weight. That raises a question are those two tendencies are connected.
Aim of the study. Evaluate students view of their body weight and their dietary habits.
Research tasks:
1. Analyze scientific literature about collage students dietary habits.
2. Evaluate if students view of their body weight.
3. Identify students dietary habits and compare differences between different body mas index categories.
Methods. Using questionnaire that consists of 21 questions 230 students were questioned. Questionnaire was composed form three parts: questions about students, questions about students view of their bodies and questions about students dietary habits. Answers were processed using Microsoft excel.
Results. Scientific literature about students dietary habits were analyzed and showed that their diets are unhealthy, also studies showed that students are not happy with their bodies and that leads to weight control.
Questioaire showed that student diets are full of unhealthy foods like fast food, sweets, baked goods, sweet drinks. Also they eat to little of vegetables, dairy products, fish, too much of meat. Also students say that they evaluate their bodies negatively.
Conclusions. Ohter studies show that collage student‘s diets are not healthy. Also they are nor happy with their body weight. My study shows that a lot of students are not happy with their weight ant it‘s nt related with their BMI. In all BMI groups student diets are not eating healthy: they eat too little of fish, dairy products, only about haf of students in every grout eat vegetabes daily, or more often. Also students eat too much o baked goods, sweets, sweet drinks, anf fast food. |
