dc.description The relevance of the work. It is increasingly emphasized that the activities of nurses are unthinkable without teamwork. But with teamwork, nurses face various problems doing a collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals, as well as other factors that shape teamwork in an organization, such as workload, respect, or equivalence. As teamwork is gaining increasing importance in various institutions, it would be useful to find out about the surgery department nurses attitude of teamwork, its importance and applicability in practice. The aim of the work: To reveal the attitude of nurses to teamwork in the surgery department. Research tasks: 1. Define the concept of team and teamwork in a health care facility. 2. Describe the activities of the nurse in the team of the surgery department. 3. Identify the attitude of nurses working in surgery departments about teamwork. Research methods. The analysis of scientific literature, an anonymous questionnaire has been created accordingly, a quantitative method of research has been chosen because of the greater objectivity of data interpretation. The study included 44 nurses working in the hospital's X surgery departments. Data are presented using a descriptive statistical analysis method, statistical data analysis performed using Microsoft Excel program (2016). Research results. The data show that 47% of respondents are satisfied with teamwork in their department. Less than half (48%) of the respondents said that teamwork is often required to perform their duties. It was found that nurses often (55%) collaborate with other health care professionals. It was found that nurses would like to improve their collaboration skills (43%) and organization (43%) teamwork skills. The results showed that these factors are the most important factors for successful teamwork for nurses: suitable workload (77%) and collaboration (70%). Conclusions. The health care team is made up of representatives of different professions with suitable skills and knowledge, they have a clear aim and are trying to complete that aim with other team members. Nursing activities in the surgery department are various: it involves both direct contact with the patient and indirect work. Analysis of research results showed that almost half of respondents are satisfied with teamwork in their department, the majority of respondents consider their contribution to the team important and the most successful teamwork is ensured by proper workload and collaboration en_US

Aprašoma slaugytojo veikla chirurgijos skyriuje kaip komandos nario. Tyrimo metu nustatytas slaugytojų, dirbančių chirurgijos skyriuose, požiūris į komandinio darbo svarbą, reikalingumą, atskleidžiami svarbiausi aspektai dirbant komandoje. Pagal gautas rezultatus bei suformuluotas išvadas pateikiamos rekomendacijos, padedančios gerinti komandinį darbą chirurgijos skyriuose en_US
