dc.description Relevence of the work: about 15 million newborn babies are born each year in the world, but die about 1 million. The babies whom survive experience learning disabilities, hearing and visual impairments. Most premature births begin with self-procreation, or premature rupture of the fetuses. About 70-80 percent premature births starts by themselves, 40-50 percent of them begins by self-procreation and 20-30 percent start of premature rupture of the fetal covering. 27229 newborns were born in 2017 of which 1535 were prematurely born newborns and 71 newborn babies were born dead. Parental care and close contact give the newborn a positive feeling. Therefore, the usefulness of the "Kangaroo" method has proven to be successful in stabilizing breathing, heart work, and increasing body weight. The objective: to reveal the application of the "Kangaroo" method between women who have given premature birth and the factors determining it. Study objectives: 1. To reveal the benefits of the „Kangaroo“ method for premature newborns. 2. To identify the frequency of the „Kangaroo“ method used among premature birth given by women. 3. To identify the factors that encourage mothers to use „Kangaroo“ method. Methodology of research. Object of the study: the application of the "Kangaroo" method between women who have given premature birth and the factors determining it. Research method: in a quantitative study, data were collected using an anonymous questionnaire consisting of 22 questions. Data analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel 2016. Respondents: the study included 40 women who were divided into 4 groups by age: 7.50 percent of women (n = 3) with age from 18 to 20; 12.50 percent of women (n = 5) from 21 to 25; 32.50 percent of women (n = 13) from 26-30; 47.50 percent of women (n = 19) from 31-43. The majority (40.00 percent n = 16) had higher university education, 32.50 percent (n = 13) had a secondary education, a little over a quarter consisted of higher non-university, vocational and basic education. Research results: all respondents (n = 40) applied the “Kangaroo” method to premature newborns, but a very small proportion (37.50 percent, n = 15) of men / partners practiced the method for premature newborn. Even (72.50 percent, n = 29) respondents gave birth to a newborn during the “Kangaroo” method. Conclusion: 1. The „Kangaroo“ method returns a newborn to a safe environment, forming a close relationship between the baby and the parents. 2. All surveyed respondents practiced the use of the Kangaroo method, but only a little over a third of all respondents confirmed that a man / partner applied skin-to-skin contact. 3. What inspired the „Kangaroo“ method to be used from all respondents more than half responded that it was a nurse. en
