dc.description	Actuality of the topic: While observing the life of mentally disabled people in today‘s society, it can be noticed that more and more attention is paid to them. Being aware that the work with this social group is not easy indeed and requires much efforts, it is important to pay attention to people who work with them. While working with mentally disabled young people, social workers face different difficulties, which can significantly influence the quality of the performed by them work. Thus, it is first of all actual to find out, what difficulties social workers face while working with mentally disabled young people, trying to find out, how to avoid problems which social workers usually face and this way improve the quality of the performed by them work. Goal of the paper: To reveal difficulties, faced by a social worker when working with mentally disabled young people. Tasks of the paper: 1) To discuss a concept of mentally disabled young people from theoretical aspect; 2) To describe the peculiarities of activity of a social worker when working with mentally disabled young people; 3) To identify difficulties, which are faced by social worker, working with disabled young people. Question of a study: What difficulties does a social worker usually face when working with disabled young people? Method of a study: Qualitative study – structured interview. Participants of a study: 6 social workers, working with with mentally disabled young people, participated in a study. Conclusions: A qualitative study revealed that a social worker, when working with mentally disabled young people, face the following various difficulties: lack of collaboration among specialists, too large work load, dangerous work conditions as well as too high pressure from management. Social workers feel stress at work: they would like to dedicate more time for communication with mentally disabled young people, however, filling of document take much time as well as stress is caused by aggression, which is probable from the clients side - necessary communication skills, quick reaction, work requires concentration. However, social workers, when working with mentally disabled young people, find different ways on how to cope with faced difficulties when asking for help from colleagues or trying to find the ways out by themselves. Unfortunately, after a hard day, participants of the study bring part of this stress home and, according to them, they are angry at home after work. Close relatives are also the group of persons, which helps to calm down, cope with stress, which is faced at work.	en
dc.description.abstract	Stebint žmonių su protinę negalia gyvenimą šiandieninėje visuomenėje, galima pastebėti, kad jiems skiriama vis daugiau dėmesio. Suprantant, kad darbas su šia socialine grupe yra iš ties nelengvas ir reikalaujantis nemažai pastangų, svarbu atkreipti dėmesį į žmones, kurie dirba su jais. Socialiniai darbuotojai dirbdami su protinę negalią turinčiais jaunuoliais patiria įvairių sunkumų, kurie gali padaryti nemažą įtaką jų atliekamo darbo kokybei. Todėl pirmiausia yra aktualu sužinoti, kokius sunkumus patiria socialiniai darbuotojai dirbdami su protinę negalia turinčiais jaunuoliais, bandant išsiaiškinti kaip išvengti socialiniams darbuotojams dažniausiai pasitaikančių problemų ir taip pagerinti jų atliekamo darbo kokybę.	en_US
