dc.description	In the project, I have chosen to analyse the contemporary Lithuanian emigrants gathered in the largest communities in the United Kingdom, because of the tendency and attempts to simulate and create a kind of utopian replacement for Lithuania. These communities are based in: Beckton in the East London region, Peterborough and Boston. This raises a fundamental value issue. Which "soil" is more important to a modern-day Lithuanian emigrant, created abroad, or the one they originated from? I solved this value issue using exodus emigration generation Žemininkai popularised and signified soil motive, which they took from the Lithuanian folk culture and transferred the meaning into the existential exodus emigration personal importance and longing for their homeland. In the work using analogue processes, I transferred the soil areas I photographed in Lithuania and the largest Lithuanian communities in the United Kingdom on one photographic with an intention to harmonize, merge these images of different locations and, using the masking technique, purposefully extracted a perimeter of a thickness of less than a millimetre. Which became the main visual conflict between the two conflicting locations and values. The inconsistencies that make it impossible to fully recreate a new homeland satisfying their longing for motherland.	en
dc.description.abstract	Projekte pasirinkau analizuoti didžiausiose Jungtinės Karalystės bendruomenėse susibūrusių šiuolaikinių lietuvių emigrantų požiūrį, dėl tendencijos ir bandymų jose simuliuoti ir kurti savotišką utopinį Lietuvos pakaitalą. Šios bendruomenės yra: Bekone rytų Londono rajone, Piterbore ir Bostone. Iš to kyla esminis vertybinis probleminis klausimas. Kuri “žemė” tampa svarbesne šiuolaikiniam lietuviui emigrantui, susikurta užsienyje ar ta iš kurios jis yra kilęs? šį vertybinį klausimą sprendžiau išeivijoje žemininkų išpopuliarintu ir sureikšmintu žemės motyvu , kurį jie pasisėmę iš lietuvių liaudies kultūros perkėlė į to meto egzistencialistinį išeivio gimtosios šalies svarbos simbolį. Kūrinyje Fotografijos procesais perkėliau Lietuvoje ir didžiausiose lietuvių bendruomenėse Jungtinėje Karalystėje fotografuotus žemės plotus ant vieno fotografinio paviršiaus su tikslu sugretinti šių skirtingų vietovių vaizdus. Naudojant maskavimo techniką tikslingai išgavau mažesnę nei milimetro storio liniją- perimetrą, kuris ir tampa pagrindiniu kūrinio vizualiu konfliktu. Nesuderinamumu tarp šių dviejų teritorijų ir vertybių. Kylantys neatitikimai, kurie neleidžia visiškai sugretinti sukurti naujos gimtinę pakeisiančios teritorijos patenkinančios išliekančią gimtinės svarbą.	en_US
