The aim – evaluate the potential for development of ecotourism Aukštaitija region. The objectives: 1. To reveal the concept of eco-tourism. 2. To review the importance of infrastructure for eco-tourism development. 3. To clarify the opinion of respondents about the potential of the Aukštaitija region for ecotourism. 4. To conduct a qualitative survey (interview) of expert opinion to find out the current situation in the region of Aukštaitija. 5. Submit proposals that could contribute to the development of eco-tourism in the region. Work methods: 1. Analysis of scientific articles; 2. Analysis and assessment of the situation in the region of Aukštaitija; 3. An analysis of the opinion of experts and respondents Structure: introduction, theoretical part, analytical - research part, recommendations and suggestions, references, conclusions. The main conclusions:  Ecotourism has principles that need to be followed to successfully develop ecotourism. There are many programs that certify tourism products and services.  Infrastructure is one of the key factors for the development of eco-tourism.  Currently, ecotourism is growing in Lithuania and is attracting more tourists. Aukštaitija region is visited by many tourists but some aspects need to be improved.  Ecotourism in Aukštaitija region is being developed and various efforts are being made to attract customers.  Has been submitted 8 recommendations which should increase the flow of incoming tourists to the region, increase their interest in ecotourism, nature conservation and its importance.	en
dc.description.abstract	Darbo tikslas. Įvertinti Aukštaitijos regiono ekologinio turizmo plėtojimo galimybes. Darbo uždaviniai: 1. Atskleisti ekologinio turizmo sampratą. 2. Apžvelgti infrastruktūros svarbą ekologinio turizmo plėtrai. 3. Išsiaiškinti respondentų nuomonę apie Aukštaitijos regiono potencialą ekologiniam turizmui. 4. Atlikti ekspertų nuomonės kokybinį tyrimą – interviu, norint sužinoti Aukštaitijos regiono esamą situaciją. 5. Pateikti pasiūlymus, kurie galėtų padėti plėtoti ekologinį turizmą šiame regione. Darbo metodai: 1. Mokslinių straipsnių analizė; 2. Aukštaitijos regiono situacijos analizė ir vertinimas; 3. Ekspertų ir respondentų nuomonės tyrimas. Darbą sudaro: įvadas, teorinė dalis, analitinė – tiriamoji dalis, rekomendacijos ir pasiūlymai, literatūros sąrašas, išvados. Baigiamojo darbo apimtis – 65 puslapiai, darbe yra 16 lentelių ir 25 paveikslai.	en_US
