dc.description	Asthma is a relevant topic world – wide. According to World Health Organization 300 million people are suffering from asthma symptoms. The prevalence level of the illness in Lithuania is 4 percent and is gradually rising. Asthma can affect people of any age group, however it is most likely to manifest itself during childhood or adolescence. In between attacks asthmatic patiens tend to feel reasonably healthy but subsequently the symptoms aggravate and the attacks become more frequent. During an asthma attack symptoms such as shortness of breath, irritating cough and wheezing may occur. Globally, 4 thousand people die because of asthma annually while in Lithuania it amounts to 50 deaths per year. It is excruciatingly important to diagnose and begin treating asthma as early as possible. Proper treatment of the illness aids in achieving and maintaining long – term asthma control. Aim of the study: Ascertain asthmatic patiens‘ view on demands for pharmacists in asthma control. Tasks: 1. Analyze scietific literature on bronchial asthma. 2. Investigate asthmatic patients‘ view on demands for pharmacists in asthma control. Object and methods: The respondents have been selected randomly and were given an anonymous survey. The survey concists of closed questions for respondents to chose one or several answers along with open questions where the respondents could express their opinions in writing. The research was conducted in X pharmacy. 70 patients with asthma took part in the study: 39 women and 31 men. After analyzing and summarizing all graphics in the research, it became clear that demand for pharmacists in the process of asthma control is tremendous and pharmacists‘ role is important and beneficial to the patients. Almost all respondents want to get more information on their illness. After evaluating the results, it can be concluded that not every respondent is aware of the correct inhalation technique and because of that the patients included in the study expressed a request to be guided by a pharmacist. In addition, it was found that pharmacists are one of the main sources of information about asthma.	en
dc.description.abstract	Baigiamajame bakalauro darbe buvo išsiaiškinta gyventojų, sergančių bronchų astma, nuomonė apie farmacijos specialistų poreikį ligos valdyme. Išnagrinėjus mokslinę – dalykinę literatūrą bei atlikus duomenų analizę buvo pateiktos išvados. Darbą sudaro įvadas, du skyriai, išvados, literatūros sąrašas ir priedai. Darbo apimtis – 36 psl. 20 literatūros šaltinių.	en_US
